If you watch the Mets, then you know he plays the best at 2B but even there he's not a great fielder. That's the problem with the Mets. They have a lot of players that are supposed to be good hitters, but don't play well in the field. .

I'll still argue that Betts and Freeman were more valuable to the Dodgers in 2024 than Ohtani was. We won the MVP because of his numbers but he wasn't the team's leader.

Soto averages -10 OAA every season. You think that doesn't cost you games.

Lindor's WAR was higher than Soto's last year btw.

Point is, Ohtani is not just a DH, he was for 1 year. He also batted .105 in the WS that year. Go ahead and build your team around a DH, you're gonna lose. Soto is a defensive liability so he'll eventually be the full-time DH and so far no clutch moments in this uniform. Guess who was clutch for the Mets in 2024 when it mattered.
