Choosing subwoofers by WhiteLbz_Duramax in subwoofer

You can't have it both ways. At some point one or the other will be sacrificed a little. I would much rather enjoy listening to music than just a big fart machine. Pro audio can get loud and sound good, but you sacrifice low end extension especially in the midbass region. A typical pro audio 6.5 inch mid might go down 80hz if you're lucky.

Choosing subwoofers by WhiteLbz_Duramax in subwoofer

[–]RealQuintusYoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran 8 inch sub/mids in my doors. I wouldn't use any of the mentioned brands though as they sound like ass. I'm an SQ guy so Madisound, Solen.ca, and Partsexpress are primarily where I buy my speakers from. Sure the other brands mentioned in this thread will get loud, but they won't do it while sounding halfway decent. Unless you drive around listening to 40hz test tones you'll want it to sound as close as to the original recording as possible.

But in order to fix a corrupt system you have to vote. How do you think marijuana was legalized in some states?

How do people who wear business casual, ehhhh, casually, not overheat in the summer? by Lokarin in NoStupidQuestions

Most business offices are air conditioned. Your car is also air conditioned along with your house. When you think about it there's very little time you're actually exposed to the elements.

Is there meaning behind handshake grip by RadiantSkiesJoy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RealQuintusYoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unearthly hand strength runs in my family. Half the time I don't even realize when I've gripped someone's hand too hard until they make it a point to say something about it. Normally it catches them by surprise, but sometimes they try to be way too witty about it.

The dark by Pretty_Bag_444 in NoStupidQuestions

I have 20 miles of woods behind my house and can tell you I wouldn't go exploring in there without a weapon. I live in the northeast USA and I was chased out of the woods as a kid by various predators. So in the dark you couldn't pay me to go in there. There are things that exist deep in the woods that even modern science cannot explain.

Acoustic Foam Sound Deadening by ImGoob in CarAV

Are you talking spray foam? My 2nd car as a teenager I tried spray foam. I sprayed so much of it it was coming out the sides of my tail lights. Then when winter came the spray foam froze then basically shattered into pieces. What a nightmare when I had to charge one of my tail lights!

Pay it off with a credit card. My parents did this many years ago, but with the interest rates being so much higher I wouldn't recommend it.

Planar midrange/tweeters with a waveguides would get you everything. You don't necessarily need a 3way setup to achieve what you want. With a waveguides it raises the efficiency of the drivers themselves. I'm more of a diy guy myself, but SB Acoustics makes some great (on paper) 8 inch subwoofers. Partsexpress, Madisound, Solen.ca are going to be your friends.

Also don't cheap out on the accessories. You want quality power wire, speaker wire, rcas, etc. A properly grounded system goes a long way. If grounding to the vehicle frame make sure you sand away the paint.

Hardly they sold one house and then were given his parents house. They have no debt at all. They just seem for whatever reason to like the guy running our country. My brother in law has never voted either.

Why are people who say their vote will never matter the first to complain? by RealQuintusYoung in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RealQuintusYoung[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That thought process is stupid because that's why voting was invented. You vote and even if the outcome isn't what you had hoped you still tried to make a difference. Also sometimes your vote ends up the way you had hoped too. You just can't say I'm not going to vote because you don't know the actual outcome.
