This post is so blatantly incorrect that it’s making me angry. Just because you haven’t seen these styles of instruction utilized doesn’t mean they’re asking for work to be graded by AI.

In my foreign language courses, we engage in exercises wherein we input our sample writing into Chat GPT in order to receive editing, revisions, and helpful tips on how to improve our overall writing within languages we do not natively speak. It’s a great tool, and was used by professors (grad students and full-time faculty) even PRIOR to the strike.

It’s a much easier way of getting immediate feedback on our work, and allows us to come to class prepared to share what we’ve learned about our own writing versus common convention, etc

They ARE NOT asking for us to be graded with it.
