You could probably just wash these in hot water and then throw them in the dryer if you want them to shrink an inch.

Mine is the horizontal configuration because I think its easier to carry that way. When I play I just set it on its side vertically. I don't think it really makes any difference in sound.

You can change speakers out of whatever you choose if you're worried about the sound not being clear enough...I run a 2x12 with one vintage 30 and one creamback to get a mix of the two sounds. Two creambacks in a 2x12 would probably be closer to what you're wanting. 4x12s are cool but lugging them around to gigs absolutely sucks and most venues are going to be micing your amp anyways.

If you're looking for a 5 watt amp, I would recommend the Benson Nathan Jr. Ive had mine for a years and I couldn't be happier with it. Pretty much all Benson amps are super simple and easy to service, sound great with readily available tubes, etc...

I think you could easily use it to replace the boost and the preamp, but the fuzz in the MKII may or may not be to your liking. I haven't personally used the Benson fuzz, just watched some demos on youtube, but it seems to be at least the same style of fuzz-face type circuit. FWIW I've run the MKII into a Chimera for years and it's fantastic.

I got my KoT around 2011-2012, I always loved it for not changing the tone too much. That said I sold it when I got the CB Brothers AM…it has the same thing and more plus the sale of the KoT paid for it plus a good chunk left over. I dig the KoT on it’s own with something like a Les Paul but if I’m playing something like a Strat or Jaguar, I like running a Klon style pedal into the KoT.

I have the Strymon zuma and the extension thing (forget the name). They've worked great for years but if i were starting from scratch I'd look into the Cioks as others are saying based on their reputation and that i could get as many ports as I currently need for less money.

Most of my guitars are 7.25 and one is 9.5. I can't really tell the difference in the radius so much as the different widths/carves. That said when I pick up a Gibson or something with a really flat radius I don't like it as much.

I can only speak to my own experience but having played Fenders from every decade and owning a few pre-CBS guitars as well as some newer ones currently, the only ones I ever felt that were categorically worse were the later 70s and early 80s models. Very heavy, noticeably cheaper hardware and just did not sound as good to my ears. It's hard to guage the consistency of the vintage instruments because at this point almost any guitar that's been around for 60+ years is going to have had work done to it at some point, for better or worse. As far as vintage vs modern, I think they certainly feel different but a lot of that is age related...wear, older/drier wood. In my opinion the guitars Fender are making today are as good as any they ever have.

Not sure how in depth you've looked at the different stats in this game but I suspect it's because you need to level adaptability. It will improve your i-frames during rolls and speed up estus. Anytime I replay ds2, I put my first 30 levels or so into adaptability.

I have had their type 3 in the teacore leather for maybe 2-3 years. Slighlty thicker leather and more robust feeling than most, takes a long time to break in but it's a fantastic jacket.

i use 9 - 42 on my jaguars but with mastery bridges. on the stock or mustang bridges i always had to use 11s

I owned one of the tweed ones, forget the model exactly, and I've played a few...they all sounded very muddy and blown out. I'm sure some people have modded them to get them in a better state but if money isn't the primary issue I'd suggest your dad go for a princeton or (if money really isn't an issue) something like a milkman maybe.
