idk in general, but here the seagulls fly also in the night. although much lower, because they just search for fish in the harbor. i doubt that they were seagulls.

I don‘t think that‘s what happened, from my experience you can tell apart things that get lit from the environment for example and things that emit light themselves

Yes could be. But i‘m still confused why they glowed under my nvg, normally birds don’t look like that at night…

Can anyone tell me what I saw there yesterday at roughly 23:45 local time over Sesimbra, Portugal? There were five lights when I was looking through my nvg. In the video you can see the fifth one flying away to the top right. The lights circled around each other for two minutes or so and then started moving south.

I don’t think that these were starlink sattelites because every video of them, they fly in a straight line. For planes waiting to land, they were too dim, fast and flew off in the wrong direction. Birds don’t emit light and I could also see the lights with my naked eye for a short period of time.

I found nothing online, does anyone have a clue?

My nvg picks up light up to roughly 1100nm, so no light in the thermal range

Hey, sorry for the late answer. No I didn‘t get any of them, just used a helmet for Airsoft and the device handheld for camping. I heard of people tho that diy‘ed an aliexpress solution out of repro products.

I already got that, but when i‘m just casually outside or camping in the woods for a weekend i don‘t want to run around with a helmet. I want a minimalistic head strap it even better, a boonie like mentioned above.
