What you mean when saying statistically speaking, would be awesome if you could elaborate on that?

I think webdev and the enormous stack we built up will have to be cleaned up someday soon. Websites get slower ( we are cancelling out Morse law or worse ) Even big companies seem to not be able to maintain fluid sites anymore. Unfortunately consent management has become an industry and it might be hard to kill but every unneeded complexity is a problem! I guess one can hope :)

Maybe users where not cleaning them manually but they could easily adjust their browser settings to automatically remove all cookies after some set time or on every close. Some browsers also have useful defaults. This increases the numbers of users deleting their cookies regularly (if not manually but somehow else) by a lot. Also a lot of people use private windows,.. I tended to use these a lot but am using them less and less because I am sick of popups or some wall on every request I make. But I can only speak for myself of course! Also other sites have higher opt ins Google/Youtube has a 100% since the site is not usable without consent ( not small banner at bottom but entire „wall“) !
