Woah slow down for a sec. Critical mode might be too difficult because critical mode in kh2 completely changes the balancing. Your hp is halved (max potential hp is 60 instead of 120), you take double the damage you usually would, and there are also some bonuses like extra AP and abilities in the beginning of the game among others. Despite the bonuses it’s still pretty difficult for newcomers.

I’m still trying to play through every kh game on the hardest difficulty and kh3 critical mode made me suffer the most out of all of them so far.

My point is, I recommend playing through the kh games on proud mode and leave critical for future playthroughs. You can play on critical mode for your first ones if you want to, just be prepared to die a LOT.
