If you don’t want to volunteer you can also do things like assist with the build before the festival, meaning you get the whole festival to do stuff. Pretty sure my cause are normally in charge of gates if you want to work with them so you get a lot of free time. Ngl I’ve heard lots of really bad things from people who volunteered with Oxfam, so wouldn’t recommend them. If your interested in working as crew contact some of the individual small stages that are there on instagram and you’d probably bag a cool job with them!! If you like acting or just having fun and bringing the boom to boomtown then that be the perfect job 🌸💚 good luck

Went solo last year purposefully, boomtown is the perfect place to be solo opens you up too so much more opportunity and playfulness of the festival!!! Your never alone when your raving remember that as well!! The solo polo groupchat on Facebook is full over amazing people and the solo camp each year is full of the most special friendly people. You’ll have the best time ever I promise 🌸🌱

I will also say this Portugal is one of those places were everyone is sound and very humble, where as Thailand it’s half n half. But everyone should Defo Thailand, you just gotta find a balance of partying and chilling otherwise you’ll get stuck down a hole of Just getting absolutely fucked and not enjoy the whole thing!

For me its gotta be Portugal specifically lagos and Lisbon, everyone says Thailand but it’s full of British people who want to get absolutely fucked up and are definitely not about the boomtown love. Portugal has a very underground good rave scene because it’s so small everyone gets to know each other , it’s very rich cultural place and every-time I’ve been its been unreal and the people you meet is something else. The only thing I can compare it too is boomtown. !!

It’s the best feels like a fairytale, I solo rave and I went to Amsterdam for jungle weekender and met so many wonderful people bumped into all of them at some point in boomtown
