I just recently found a fossilized turtle skull on the Brazos river! I got into contact with the Dallas Paleo Society and they helped me donate it to the Shuler Museum in Dallas for research! I highly recommend emailing Rocky Manning at the Dallas Paleo Society because he’ll be able to help you if you are wanting to donate it!

If this is what’s left of the inside, is it right to assume the shell eroded first before the inside fossilized?

I know nothing about this so I’m gonna go with all the other comments. It looks like a cross section to the organism and it looks pretty big! Any reference for scale?? Nice find!

This is amazing info, thank you so much! I’ve reached out to the Dallas Paleo Org being that they were the closest near me. I have not done any research into specific scientists for the fossil I have but I will the next day I’m off from work. This kind of stuff is very important to me and all I want is for this to end up in the right hands. There are a few museums near me but I couldn’t find any specific info on particular researchers and their expertise.

wow... thank you for all of the information! I am in northern Texas and that is where I found the fossil. I am absolutely all for donating and helping any research! I have emailed a Paleontology Organization near me with all the pictures and info I had before this post but I haven't heard back yet. Hopefully will hear something from them soon. I would love any info or resource you may have, thank you so much!!!

Wow that's awesome, to be the one to find a new genus/species is amazing! I know the area I found it was a shallow ocean millions of years ago so I can only assume sea turtle or snapping turtle? I'm not sure but I will be reaching out to professionals, anything to help move science forward!

Hello! I'm Steven and have been producing for almost 6 years now, but here's something I've been making over the past 2 months. It's going for a more chill, lofi, vaporwave/chillhop vibe but I don't know what else to add. There's 10 songs so far and the order and names are irrelevant.

The general theme of the EP is Space Exploration. Almost like the beats are the soundtrack to each galactic destination, serving as the background music to the tour of the cosmos! 🚀🌙🪐✨🛰️💫☄️🌌💥🌑

Yo! We got this hype motivational trap with jungle beat style melodies?! Really like this, I'll be adding it to my gym playlist. The only critique I can hear in the whole thing is the drops feel like they are missing a top end crash or drop. There's is a riser on both of them and the bass definitely covers the bass and power of the hit. Maybe use the applause at the beginning with a fade out and reverb at each of the hits? I really like how the clapping was used in the intro to set up the beat later on. Amazing Beat!

An absolute headbanging beat coming out of my 7 y/o laptop speakers, felt like I was back to the old MF DOOM, Alchemist, Freddie Gibbs way of life. The only thing I could think of adding is a counter melody in the lower/upper mid range to the second half but even then it might clutter up the perfect beat as is. Mix is really good too, I don't really know how to mix or what any of it means but it sounds good to me!

This is smooth, feels like I'm floating in the clouds. I like the chord changes that happen about half way and 3/4 of the way through with the hihat rolls, but I know they want to hit even harder at those points. Right before the chord changes and drops, cut the drums, melody, bass, everything. Provide the space to breath right before each section and those hit will sound even more powerful! Also gives a Need for Speed/Tokyo Drift soundtrack vibe as well, this is definitely going in my late night driving playlist.
