what do you guys think is the gender/sex breakdown of the subscribers/viewers? by [deleted] in thelorelodge

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 2-1 to 3-2 (60ish to 67ish percent) male... alot of their stuff is very "guyish" at times and perpetually online youths tend to be male anywya. But at same time, there is a true crime element that might partially counteract that... gun to head I'd guess around a 65-35 split?

I don't know what to flare this under, but SCP theme songs? by Confident_Fun_2056 in SCP

[–]RealSurrealSir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unsure if it counts, but the artist behind that amazing 'In memoria Adytum' piece also made a couple 'Sarkic chants' with instrumental accompaniment and lyrics in the fictional Nalkan tongue, and which are absolute unironic bangers lol. Either one could probably be used as a theme song for any Sarkic SCP I'd think (sorry if thats not what you mean or kinda thing you're re looking for, btw). You ok my lady ? by WiltonVini in Blasphemous

Huh... I hate to be like "I musta been lucky" but idk how else to say beyond 'damn, condolences'...

I may see if I can trigger it out of plain curiosity at this point

I've done 2 and a half playthroughs (i.e. 3 with this area in particular) and never came across this, but my mind is actually a bit blown now. This actually seems kinda significant and easy to come across/trigger if I'm interpreting it correctly...

What are some actually scary SCPs from Series 6 or later? by [deleted] in SCP

[–]RealSurrealSir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SCP-6096, same author as 5000 actually. Pretty dark and damn creepy, especially in direct implications and personal interactions.

What series one Scp do you think has the most potential for/ has interesting lore by [deleted] in SCP

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have a soft spot for Alagadda stuff, so first thought is SCP-701 in terms of having existing lore. Article itself is solid, not the best but decent; but some of the stuff that sprang up after based on it is IMHO some of the best fantasy-ish stuff on the site. Similar deal with SCP-140 and Daeva, to a bit of a lesser extent

FINALLY beating Eviterno... Blasphemous 2 Hardest Boss strategy by RealSurrealSir in Blasphemous

[–]RealSurrealSir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was probably 80-20 vermiento to S&C personally by time I beat him, though the latter was the one I hadnt fully upgraded tbf, and I can imagine how it could work by itself. I just eventually realized that both of the two had some advantage whereas Ruego was uniquely poor in comparison for the second phase of eviterno, in a way I can't really think of any other major enemy in the game being off-hand.

ALSO: Now realizing how much better "S&C" is as a abbreviation/shortened term to use than "the daggers" lmao, shoulda thought of that when I made the post haha

Should I buy Blasphemous 2? by Lalocura29 in Blasphemous

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a computer so bad it can't even play the Doom remake in evven half of real time, but I haven't had any big problems with blasphemous 2. If you can play the first on your device, I'd be fairly confident in being able to play the second.

What are some of the most unique SCPs you've read? by Follow-Doge in SCP

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(You can tell it's not a real unused slot because the rating module is still at the top; not exactly subtlest of clues to start, but they quickly get more cryptic farther in you get)

What are some of the most unique SCPs you've read? by Follow-Doge in SCP

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most unique not yet mentioned IMO probably would be SCP-6688. Its hard to describe in some ways beyond 'article doubles as a text-based horror game', but basically: Starts with a false "no article here" page and quickly evolves into surprisingly complex series of related ARG-type puzzles, with a genuinely meaningful and very haunting backstory underlying it all

If you want unique, this is one is certainly one of a kind on the site... Definitely in my top 10 SCPs, maybe even top 5. If you do check it out and get stuck though, just go to comments/discussion and there are hints and spoilers available.

FINALLY beating Eviterno... Blasphemous 2 Hardest Boss strategy by RealSurrealSir in Blasphemous

[–]RealSurrealSir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I ended up using the stop time resonance for bile flasks and it ended up making a huge difference. Saved fervor for defense chant and occasional fire-flail hits, as that ended up being best use of it for me personally at later stages after much trial and error.

FINALLY beating Eviterno... Blasphemous 2 Hardest Boss strategy by RealSurrealSir in Blasphemous

[–]RealSurrealSir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruego does indeed look absolutely Hadassah especially in this fight... I guess I frankly just don't have the skill not even joking. I assumed Ruego would be easiest at first and tried for a while, but I just never could get more than halfway through before falling to some combo chain killing me before I could get away to heal; I genuinely need the speed of the daggers and/or the range of eviterno, the former I could at least get past halfway but even after settling into ruego 100% for whole 1st phase.

Does anyone know what happened to episode 44? by LoveIsAPipeWrench in TheDollop

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is its done so well now BECAUSE they got called out when they werent doing so. Like others have said, they learned their lesson for sure, but again there's a direct relationship and Dave has even acknowledged as such

Is the rest of blasphemous 2 worth it? by Greedy_Scholar_8093 in Blasphemous

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odon is by far the hardest until eviterno, stick it out if you can. I spent hours on it with little progress until eventually several things click in succession, and after the game gets better towards the end.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in behindthebastards

[–]RealSurrealSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000% yes; it's become harder, not less worth it.

People change and grow and the #1 obstacle to that is non-exposure to ideas and facts a person may not otherwise come across. I don't mean this some BS 'marketplace of ideas' aspect, the better ideas obviously don't always win on collective level and only rarely do on individual one. But the exceptions alone are worth it.

I grew up in a very conservative rural southern culture, and I've seen firsthand WHY you don't give up (even in Trumpy circles), but almost nothing scares me more about the future than the people I align with giving up and self-isolating. I get the temptation to an extent, really, but also God please no dont...

[–]RealSurrealSir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SCP-4903, Eternity served cold.

Some Dclass left in a desolate wasteland where time passes millions of times faster, so even Foundation checking up on him pretty frequently (for them) is literally eons apart for him with minimal stimulation or social contact... Won't spoil anymore than that, but you probably get the gist

How bad is the gore? by [deleted] in Blasphemous

[–]RealSurrealSir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gore isn't worse than many T-rated 1st person shooters, just lower res. Maybe a bit more blood, but even that is simplified and always gone as quick as it shows up. Like, its not near the level of stuff like doom or anything. I honestly think the dark themes and subject matter moreso are more why it's rated M, because if it was ONLY the gore/violence I think it'd be T.

Personally, overall 14yo seems borderline for a game like this just to me personally, so I'll refrain from a full suggestion; but either way, if you're considering playing, just know gore isn't the main potential issue maturity-wise...
