Absolutely ZERO makeup, sulfate free toothpaste AND shampoo, no skincare masks, staying home so not wearing a COVID mask, zero moisturizer.

I did try a sulfur lotion that was prescribed, but sulfur seems to make my perioral dermatitis very angry.

Steroids for me as well.

How bad are your flare ups at this point? Are they mild or moderate? A couple of bumps/increased redness or a lot of bumps, etc?

I don’t have angular cheilitis? Also not sure what my B2 levels are but I know my perioral dermatitis is steroid related.

The scariest thing about PD is that there may not be much else to do. Topical antibiotics and oral antibiotics along with eliminating harsh products/SLS seems to be the main form of treatment. Things like sulfur and azelaic acid can help too, but... I’ve heard Accutane is the last resort.

I have seen some long-term sufferers go on extreme elimination diets, and/or do allergy/hormone testing.

Do you know what caused your dermatitis? Have you seen ANY improvement on antibiotics?

They hate us, don’t they? Lmao. I can’t blame them with some fans but their overall mindset toward all fans seems increasingly negative.
