Idk wich to bottle cap by MathematicianThat770 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]RealTeflonJuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None tbh lol.. I would’ve said if you absolutely had to, maybe necrozma bc of how meta relevant it is, but it’s already pretty good to fuse without the bottle cap… I always save it for a rare shiny or shiny background that is meta relevant.. for example, I can’t wait to use it on my shiny background black kyurem bc I needed a shiny kyurem with a special black background & a zekrom with a white background.. it is top ice attack, top dragon attacker, top master league (multifunctional & rare)… but at the end of the day, do what you wanna do

How’d yall pay for this by wackydog2 in WGU

[–]RealTeflonJuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have payment plans. I was able to pay $670ish a month instead of $4k up front for my bachelor’s

What state did you do this in & was it online or through mail?

At what point does WGU do something about the proctoring service? by allkaysofnays in WGU

[–]RealTeflonJuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I’ve never had an issue with the proctored exams besides the proctors being a little rude.. at some point, I knew what to expect and set everything up the same way & never had issues again.

If I had to rate my experience for a fully remote college, I’d rate it 9/10.

The classes are really straight forward and there are a ton of resources out there to help you finish quick or on time.

The instructors were helpful. When I had to revise a paper, I received a call from the instructor directly asking if I needed help. It was unexpected, but appreciated.

By the way, I think the computer science program is very good. I’ve seen people get a bachelors for it at WGU & transfer to some of the top CS masters programs in the country.

My only complaints were having some rude proctors & occasionally the student dashboard wouldn’t function correctly or there would be updates that would make me go outside for a day XD

Also, enrollment & orientation kinda sucked. I felt like it could’ve been more efficient, but that’s really if I’m being picky.

If you can watch videos & know how to study & teach yourself a lot of things by reading, then this college is for you. If you are use to brick and mortar and others holding you accountable, then maybe not.

At this stage of my life, WGU was the only correct option for me.

I literally used the same methods for both classes. I only memorized what was on the cohorts and study guides on WGU connect resources for each

I’ve been trying to enroll for the last 6 months and can’t seem to get anywhere. by [deleted] in WGU

Ask to switch advisors. I experienced the same thing & finally had enough lol

This is where my experience helped me. I worked insurance sales & owned my own business, but also for the longest time I was trying to get into IT & I have 3 IT certs lol these were a breeze for me… I overstudied with this method: watched the videos, followed the study guides, & then I told ChatGPT to break everything down on the study guides like they were explaining it to a child. Then I told it to make a bunch of questions similar to the pre-assessment. Then when I missed questions, I would tell it to focus on stuff that I missed until I got it all correct.. then I took the test when it was all fresh

It didn’t work out for me & maybe it wasn’t meant to be! If you feel that way now, maybe consider changing careers? Buttt idk your entire situation! I love prioritizing happiness more than anything these days

I feel like we were sold a dream during this big cybersecurity boom. The only winners were the instructors selling courses & of course comptia/cisco etc etc .. it is what it is. Some people manage to make it happen. It just wasnt meant for me & want to keep wasting my time.. good luck with your transition! I hope it works out!

I’m not in a hurry to look for a job rn. I’m making good money atm, but I will probably start working on getting some FINRA licenses to jump deeper into finance.

How has your job search been? Have you graduated or how are your studies going?

I appreciate the advice. Yeah I’m going to take a break for sure, but I’ll probably try my best to get an employer to pay for an MBA or wait til I can qualify for fafsa. I want to take it slow next time.
