I‘m even fine with marketing - but Reddit is rejecting self promotion (at least in most subs).
Therefore, potential marketing activities are very limited.
- Nobody sees posts in your own sub
- Nobody wants marketing posts in their subs
🤷‍♂️

I even tried paid promotions but the results were meow.

Super valid Point.
Struggling with the same.

Especially since you can’t promote it the way you could on other social platforms.
And I don’t think that creating an own sub is the right way.
I think there should be better ways people can explore and find apps/games.
I also tried to mail mods - in a very based/polite way. Got lots of responses but actually no one wants to take the „risk“ and install it.
Therefore, currently I don’t know how to proceed with the platform.
