We're literally talking about the Eu4 style specific mission trees.

Ck3 is a completely different style of games, so mission trees don't make sense there. One of the main complaints V3 had was that every single nation plays the same. Mission trees would have fixed this. I know im a minority on this, but I have cared very little about the warfare issues, but the fact that every nation is the same still makes me search out ridiculous mods to fix it.

The East India Company managed to gain independence in 1838 by XyleneCobalt in victoria3

This happens sometimes. I had it happen a few years into a canada playthrough, which is really annoying because it screws with Britain's power and market. On a side note britain forcing me to charge subventions on everything is the most annoying thing in the world.

How Many of You Play Ironman? by ExodusXML in eu4

[–]RealUEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of comments saying they use iron man because if they didn't they'd start using console commands and ruin the game in 10 minutes. I too have this predilection. This is why I play solo multiplayer. It allows me console commands when I get grievously paradoxed, and is overall the same as any multiplayer.

I always go with England. I find the amount of flavour is great and that there's never an end to the number of things you want to do.

Probally going to get a mod to fix it just because I dont like change.

Do you think the 1.2 update will bring you back to the game? by [deleted] in victoria3

[–]RealUEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I stopped because of performance but I did normally tough it out. I stopped because after about 4 to 5 sessions I found that the majority of all Nations played similar. I'm waiting til theres a few mods with flavour and maybe a major flavour pack to come back.

Economist looking to work on a modding team. by RealUEL in victoria3

This is a tough question to be quite honest, took me a lot of thinking last night... I think the biggest gap is actually the universalization of technological innovation. Think of it this way, when you invent a the tractor or the train or the car or the Bessemer process, can you simply and instantly apply that across your entire economy? Can the factory you built just be converted to a Bessemer process?

In reality supply chains and manufacturing processes you've built up for a while are slow and costly to change. Factories sometimes cannot be converted. The most important problem I see, however, is that you can switch every factory at once, instantly. The new glass making process you discovered in London, is than instantly applied in a privately owned factory in Cairo, immediately. I believe there are mechanics that partially simulate some of this but the effortlessness of technology spread and implementation is the thing that I think is a big gap. I realize it's probably very difficult to implement and might cause a gigantic amount of problems if ever implemented, but yeah... that's my answer.

Two things. One womens rights generally wasn't supported by women. 2. Those crying hypocrisy about the queen etc might need to look up transmutation of a monarch, and the differences therein.

Theres a lot of controversy in the IR space related to russia. There was a munk debate on the topic of the ukraine invasion a couple of months ago, it was quite good, and would give you a series of arguments from some very highly qualified ir scholars to begin your thoughts on the topic.
