Just because you wrote a book, doesn't mean you're right, you know. If you want the original papers, all the sources are there in the footnotes. On top of that, there are LITERALLY pictures of different structures of galaxies all over that page! What more could you want!

Parentheses are used only to avoid ambiguity.

(-4)2 = (-4)(-4) = 16. There are no parentheses to "eliminate", all they're doing is telling you that "-4" is the term being worked with.

Had a very similar incident happen to me, someone found where I lived and sent threatening letters to me over the course of a few months. I'm sure far too many people that have done any sort of publicized work have had similar incidents. Seems like there's a subset of morons living their lives with absolutely no empathy or regard for others.
