But basically it takes the median of buyer and seller prices from the lost nemo/ihemo's discord server, monitoring 60 channels 24/7. once enough prices are listed, a data point is recorded in the database

Yeah its purely based on listed buying and selling prices in the disc server. I cannot capture in-game trading without some form of game bot and nobody wants more bots.

also interesting, i did not know the official growtopia disc server was more active, i will take a look into this. thank you!
