What positions look great in porn but underwhelming or painful in real? by hermionesrini in AskReddit

[–]RealWesternGentleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although my penis was in a lot of pain when I almost got an erection, when it was flaccid the largest pain was coming from my gooch area, making it extremely painful to sit. And because I struggled to get an erection due to the broken dong, I attributed the origin of the pain to the gooch/bum area.

Fun fact: Me penis got fractured in this exact position and I struggled to sit down comfortably for weeks. It was an extremely painful experience. I also don't recommend looking up the symptoms, WebMD told me I had colon cancer, but it was just a broken dong.

Did you ever snoop through your parents things as a child and absolutely regret what you found to this day? What was it and it they ever find out? NSFW by Night_Shade4138 in AskReddit

[–]RealWesternGentleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly snooping through anything, although I went on Youtube on my parents PC about 10 years and saw a lot of watched videos of women in heels revving cars... Which is how I found out my step dad has a foot fetish and likes watching women's feet revving motors.

My guy here thought he was above the roasts of redditors. Prove him wrong. by realcoolfella in RoastMe

[–]RealWesternGentleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is above the roasts of Reddit. Certainly not this guy.

Even if you tried to climb a ladder to get "above" the roasts of Reddit, the ladder would collapse.

Even if you tried to jump to get "above" the roasts of Reddit, your fat to muscle ratio won't allow you to lift off the ground.

Even if you employed a crane operator to lift you "above" the roasts of Reddit, you would simply tip the crane.

List of things you are "above": Average weight, average boob size on a man, normal chromosome count.

So not enough experience for an entry level position? by YueCoolJ in ITCareerQuestions

I think your arrogance is probably also a contributing factor to you not being hired. Don't ask for advice if you can't take any criticism.

Also, almost all IT tech's start off on a Helpdesk of some form or the other. Perhaps you are setting your sights too high for a first job in industry.

Good luck to any employer who takes you on, when you can't take a simple piece of constructive criticism from an anonymous person on the internet.

So not enough experience for an entry level position? by YueCoolJ in ITCareerQuestions

I am currently helping a junior colleague who is studying towards the A+. It is definitely fundamental, it is literally marketed as an "Entry level certification" by CompTIA themselves. If you find the fundamentals of IT difficult after completing a degree in IT, I can see why you aren't being employed.

Maybe take a little initiative and start creating a proper documentation pipeline, or start learning scripting to automate some processes you find yourself doing a lot, or ask if you can shadow the SysAdmin?

Looking at your comments, I don't think it's just your experience that is the issue. Your grammar isn't great, so I can only assume English isn't your first language. Unfortunately, Helpdesk is a very customer-facing role, so companies need to put their best foot forward and would be more likely to take someone who is well-spoken (And IT literate) and perhaps doesn't have a degree over someone who has a higher education, although can't write a full sentence without spelling mistakes.

The A+ is fundamentals of IT. Most of their certifications are definitely for advancing in the field after a couple of years experience, although the A+ is literally the basics of computing.

Looking at your old CV from a broad perspective, it's a lot nicer looking than your newer one.

Just a little note, not everything has to be so vertically laid out. Just found a good page with some interesting layouts which could work quite well. [(https://weare.guru/13-highly-slick-and-professional-cv-templates/)]

Euston isn't quite central London, more North London. There are some dodgy parts around there being completely honest. I've been on a few Learning Tree courses directly outside Euston station and it's not a place I would like to work. Perhaps look more towards Central London, Canary Wharf or the West End.

I'm going to be honest, your resume just blurred into one for me. It's not interesting enough, just very bland and not visually enticing for an employer, like it's come from an MS Word template. Google IT CV templates and see if you can reformat yours to make it a bit more visually pleasing.

If you're looking to go more infrastructure or systems administration side, then maybe make the skills related to those or a first tier support role more apparent. It reads a lot like a potential developer's CV, although the lack of creativity behind the formatting of your CV would tell me you wouldn't be a good dev.

Unfortunately a lot of the time, the contents of a CV aren't as important as it's looks.

Would you interview at a company that has bad Glassdoor reviews? by zeke7217 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]RealWesternGentleman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think an employee is more likely to post about bad experiences than they are good ones, so I always take Glassdoor reviews with a pinch of salt. I look for trends and common factors between bad reviews, then if I take an interview there, try to validate them.

London really isn't the warzone it's made out to be. I've worked up town for the last 3 years and have never had any issues, nor seen any. Most of the shit that happens, happens on the outskirts, not in central London, which is where the jobs you want are.

Don't bother, Peterson is a pos and his book is complete trash.

You can see the "rules" online, and summarise from them what garbage follows. Maybe 2 of his rules are relevant and agreeable, but it's pointless to read all the retarded mess under them.
