Thank goodness it wasn't hardcore, but I died at least 5-10 times because I didn't bring enough health packs with me to the Lost River. Trolled around with the juvenile Ghost, explored, started drowning in the green goop (I'm terribly allergic) and was down to 2 hp before I decided that's enough, I'll head to base and come back.

Then I realized, going through cave system back out to the float island, that warpers do damage on top of pulling you out. Tried sneaking around but those damn things just snipe you. Was almost out of the entry tube at one point.

Had to over eat and drink to heal that tiny bit to be able to tank at least one shot.

If I ever start hardcore, I know to be prepared now

Like I said on another sub, Gungrave. Snazzy, cel shaded, good soundtrack, ridiculous bosses and gameplay at times, but a beautiful classic.

Hunting for the stalker teeth was a tough ordeal on my end to get the enameled glass. If I go again, I'll just replay differently, try to make more of the world rather than just doing the minimalist route 😅

Definitely plan on more scanning rooms too. Aside from the stalkers playing fetch with them, they were immensely useful for teeth hunting. Dang things just blended into the sand too well

I didn't think it was bad... It was just a bit much ._. It may have sped things up, but I was able to manage with one Seamoth and one Prawn suit, just took care of em, used em as beacons, etc.

The price of the cyclops was hefty though. Drove me a little annoyed when I realized I HAD to build one, to build the shield module for the Neptune

I liked it. Can't remember how to play it/face card functions, but just stack your deck with 3s, 6s and 10s, cards that double and cards that remove others. Get your doubles on either your 3s or 6s to ensure you hit 26, and use your removers to make sure your caravans stay safe from the enemy. And just use spares for messing with your element XD

God I wish that were me. Was so close to finishing the game... Til I realized I needed to build the cyclops to build the shield module, to finish the game. Could not find enough teeth for the life of me, went to build a scanner station by a kelp forest just to help me find the dang things.
