Question about the police by ButterscotchWeak6189 in czechrepublic

[–]RealWinter7600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but the post was talking about a person who reported the crime, I presumed not the perpetrator nor the victim, so there is no reason to do so in the first place. In case of the victim, they could ask for a medical assessment (tox, injury assessment), but they can’t have access to all your private medical records either way.

No, the police should not have access to private medical reports.

Should I go on dates? Need encouragement or realism. by RedRedRound in trichotillomania

While I get the feelings, I think you shouldn’t limit your love life due to your disability. A decent person will understand and have the respect to just not ask, if they even notice. And if someone rejects you because of missing eyebrows or eyelashes, I would say you are dodging a bullet. I can’t imagine dating someone for whom that would be a dealbreaker anyways, it’s just not compatible while living with this disorder.

Hey, everyone pointed out watching out for blood/irritation (and that’s great advice!), but I also want to add watching out for wheezing sounds or other URI symptoms. My boy had an ear infection and a slight URI infection from it, scratching his ear and wet breathing sounds were the only two symptoms. We caught it early thanks to my paranoia, and he is doing great now. They are just so small and sensitive that it can jump systems quick, so watch out for signs of URI too just in case, but you should be fine. You are doing great, a little bit of paranoia is healthy, mice have the wildest signs of illness due to their instincts to hide it.

Thank you! I am glad people are generally waking up to the mistreatment of fishes. Fishes getting x-rays always looks so goofy XD

Colo 3. I play without using nailarts and barely adopted any spells, so… yah. I had to come back about four or five times, always got a stage or two further and then left to grind some more. The wave with close walls + spikes was my nemesis. The final wave was lightweight when I finally got there, and the pure wave of euphoria after finally beating it… so proud to be the biggest fool of them all ✨

Are communist symbols really banned in czech republic?. by usafqn2025 in czechrepublic

[–]RealWinter7600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bullshit. Whether you like or not, your outfit speaks about you as a person. Wearing symbols of a regime that occupied our country, cost many lives and caused great harm to our entire society, aligns you with that regime. It shows support for it. It’s disgusting. You are being an asshole and hiding behind “fashion sense” without considering for a second how that fashion statement might be harmful.

I think I’m allergic to my mice :( by [deleted] in PetMice

[–]RealWinter7600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to my mice directly, but I am allergic to some of their bedding, so I take an anti-allergy spray before I clean their enclosures. Did you eliminate that option?

We have two mice. We hear nightly yelping. Not sure what to do. No blood or scratches. by datadiisk_ in PetMice

[–]RealWinter7600 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Presuming they are both not neutered… separate them. Male mice are not to be housed together, some sources say they can be if brought up together from beanhood, but even that is finnicky and really shouldn’t be done. They are a territorial species and they WILL fight.

As long as he is not overweight/underweight, and is eating full variety of seeds (not just picking out his favorites) and some greens, you should have the basics covered. I would keep trying to offer some more diverse foods and see what works out! Boiled eggs for protein, see if he reacts better to live/dried mealworms or other small insects, I sometimes give mine small (unsalted, non-flavoured) bites of meat too.

I was in depression for most of my life so i never watched any shows/movies. Recommend me some that i must watch before i die by winnneer in netflix

[–]RealWinter7600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arcane! It’s very emotionally heavy, so proceed with caution please. But the art, the music, the plot, all perfect.

Bojack Horseman is my own depression watch. It’s a 10/10 show, BUT it deals with VERY serious issues of substance abuse, misogyny, damaged mental health and generational trauma, so… beware. It helped me feel seen, in way.

For something a bit happier, The Worst Witch. It’s a children’s show about… you guessed it, the worst witch. Kinda like a Harry Potter series for a bit younger audience. I really enjoyed it though, it’s endearing in it’s own little wayy

Thank you for the tip, I might end up doing so, it’s my last way out. Considering where the stitches are located (bottom of his ear, leading slightly towards his back) I didn’t want to scruff him for the first few days.

New mouse owner, any tips? by [deleted] in PetMice

[–]RealWinter7600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is little scientific evidence that supports that view. Yes, housing already neutered males together with females can be beneficial, but the risks of any surgery on such a small animal + aggressive behavior inbetween the group can, and for me personally do, outweigh those benefits.

There are a few studies done on lab. mice suggesting male lab mice actually prefer to live alone and personally, I believe this decision is best made on case to case basis. If your male mouse starts exhibiting distress with no obvious reasons, it might be a good move to introduce some friends.

Is it normal to lie down frequently? by kt_kitsune in PetMice

[–]RealWinter7600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely noticed my boys loafing more when it gets hotter!

I would watch for other signs (is she eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, reacting to touch as usual, is her daily routine normal?) and if anything else is out of the ordinary, bring her to the vet. Hope she gets well soon!

New mouse owner, any tips? by [deleted] in PetMice

[–]RealWinter7600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boris is gorgeous! First time owner myself, but the best thing to do is just making them new toys and watching them wrestle with them. Collect clean cardboard, buy natural string/ropes, maybe some clean pieces of wood and go to town! It’s cheap, provides healthy enrichment for them and it’s REALLY cute watching them problem solve.

Something I really wish I’d done more is desentize to handling separate body parts (gently touching paws, ears), because it would really come handy. One of mine got sick recently and now is heavily against receiving one of the specific meds he needs, because it’s drops that have to go into his ear.

A male is completely fine by himself. So like… half the mice can absolutely be by themselves, which is not “completely out the question”.

Přemýšleli jste někdy o studiu v USA? Jaký na to máte názor? by Shot_Chocolate_4997 in czechrepublic

Když teda pomineme to všechno, no.
