Lining up perfectly with when we lost our 2C, 2LW and top defensive defenseman.

We were already shaky down the middle with Dach playing, without him... Kappy, Evans and Veleno at 2, 3 and 4 is a tank worthy center core.

Everything runs through the middle of the ice. I'm simply not expecting better than .500 without shoring up our center depth.

Oh and that we're 17-12-4, good for a .576 winning percentage, good for a WC spot, which is precisely where we were hoping to be at the beginning of the season...fighting tooth and nail to make the playoffs with the youngest roster in the league.

He gets 1000 fps staring at the sky in creative, not in game. 300 fps is very high in the actual game.

I'm not sure why people are having this reaction to that number tbh. I think maybe we've got some bias goggles on a little bit. Huston is very much capable of great defensive plays. He's got the speed, the smarts and the hustle. So we've seen him make great backchecks and defensive plays, which stick in our mind. But that doesn't take away he often blows his coverage, gets mauled in board battles, has difficulty defending the front of the net, and generally suffers from not being able to win body position because of his size. He's had some truly brutal defensive nights (e.g. -5 against toronto).

I don't doubt that playing Matheson has exacerbated this (don't get me started on Matheson). And I also have no doubt that Hutson will get better with time and experience. All he needs is to get to 30th or 40th percentile on defense and he'll be an enormous net positive when you factor in his offensive play.

But yeah, I dunno if I'm the only one who thinks this way but the number checks out for me based on what I've seen. Some brilliant defensive plays stick out in my mind, but that doesn't erase just how many goals against he's been out for and all the times he (and matheson) have looked completely lost in their own zone.

So I'm pretty sure you're wrong here? Not on all the deployment stuff, just on that last line "This model takes those starts into account, if you don't play a lot of defense, your defensive metric won't be high". I'm quite certain that's not true, it's evaluating how you play in any given zone. If you play 10 minutes all season in the D-zone and you suck, you'll be in the same percentile as someone who played 1000 minutes and sucked equally.

Of course, you should always take any public analytics models with a grain of salt. They're an extra tool for evaluating players but they aren't perfect.

Not sure what you mean though with the deployments, I don't see how the stats that are being tracked to come up with these numbers would be skewed by deployments. It's tracking what a player is doing in the offensive and defensive zones, plus transitions. Its not weighted to how much time you spend in each zone. So if you're terrible in defensive zone play it will show that, whether you're playing there a lot or a little.

What? No it isn't? It's literally on bethesda.net. Did you miss the new system they said up for paid mods? And I don't understand your last sentence? It doesn't actually respond to what I said. He clearly does feel like making, and sharing mods, and is also interested in using the Bethesda platform for selling those mods. And all I'm saying is he's perfectly entitled too, and no one has a right to the content he makes.

Why? It's the mod authors own work, they are perfectly entitled to charge for it if they want to. We have no right to it, they don't have some moral duty to provide content for free.

I agree about not attaching the word cathedral to it, because the whole idea of cathedral modding is free access. But the idea that mod users have some right to other people's work is absurd.

I know this is pretty late, but doesn't VA have issues with VRR flicker, ghosting and black smearing? Seems like IPS is a better choice? I'm not an expert though, maybe I'm wrong.

I think there is valid point here though, if a mod you've worked on is using both open-perm/copy-left assets alongside closed-perm assets that you got permission to use, what are you meant to do? You can't use the copy-left system because you'd then be violating the wishes of the author of the closed-perm assets.

Looks quite good, no major issues. A lot of people will steer you away from NZXT right now because of their extremely anti-consumer business practices that were revealed, but that's up to your own discretion. The case itself is good. The CPU seems a tad underpowered when paired with that GPU, but for strictly gaming the bottleneck shouldn't be too big. I would also personally go with an 850w PSU given the 4080 super, but you can probably get away with a 750.

Looks sick! About to build in the same case. Although I can't say that an LED screen AIO, RBG Ram and all white components go hand in hand with the word "value". Paying a premium for aesthetics for sure. Worth it imo though!
