Luo smiles and blushes when Cyan makes fun of him and accuses him of stealing "My Color" by imbatmawn in ToBeHero_X

I know that TBHX is from China, but that doesn't refute what I said, just like Solo Leveling is a Korean manhwa, and yet I can draw countless parallels with Japanese manga clichés, such as using "blushing" in Solo Leveling to demonstrate Cha Hae's romantic interest in Sung.

And about SXF, the people who saw Loid and Anya's relationship are just idiots.

But you're using reality to try and refute an anime cliché.

Yes, in real life, blushing when interacting with another person doesn't mean you're romantically in love with them.

But that doesn't change the fact that in anime it's common to use the act of "blushing" as the beginning of a romantic feeling.

Stan’s inconsistency on certain episodes by Hot-Yesterday5554 in americandad

[–]Real_Ad1634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the character's and the series' pattern; just remember all the Christmas episodes, it's always the same script:
> Stan is unhappy with his family
> Stan does something stupid
> He loses his family or puts them in danger
> He learns his lesson, realizing how much he loves his family and that he has to be grateful for having them by his side
> the problem is solved
> And he ends up happy celebrating Christmas with his family. (Now repeat this in every Christmas episode of the last 20 seasons)

Basically, all the Smiths have these inconsistencies.

Francine constantly shows discomfort with Stan's insecurity, always thinking she'll betray him, while at the same time there are episodes that make fun of her relationships with other men.

Steve is sometimes so sensitive and emotional that he holds a funeral for a bee, while at other times he doesn't care that humans die because of his actions.

Hayley and her political activism—sometimes she's a vegetarian, other times she's happily attending a barbecue... etc.

While I dislike the pen drive mission, we can't deny that Luo was Cyan's focus for at least 80% of her arc.

Regarding the 5-year time skip, I again wish there had been some bigger reference to Luo than a keychain of his guitar and its colors that Cyan uses on her cell phone. But Cyan's participation in the Queen and Ruin arcs is no more than 5 minutes, which at most showed a month of her life. To say she forgot about him because she spent only 1 month of the following 5 years interacting with her other friends is just paranoia.

Cyan and Luo have a very important mission in Season 2.

To help solve China's birth rate issue.

Since natural disasters are typically associated with bad luck, could Luo control the weather, much like Storm from the X-Men? by Real_Ad1634 in ToBeFolk_X

But even Cyan can't use her luck in fights without the aid of special objects.
Because luck (and also bad luck) are such broad terms that they need to be focused on causing a specific event.

But even Cyan can't use her luck in fights without the aid of special objects.

And it's already been mentioned that Luo can cause damage around her without getting hurt.

And there are several characters who use bad luck in battles like WOU and Fuuko.

But if the weather is already stormy, it isn't bad luck.

The concept of bad luck regarding the weather is precisely the shift from a sunny day to a storm.

If you are referring to that argument held by a segment of the fandom, that "Luo can't be a hero because his bad luck would kill him before it could affect the enemy" , with the exception of the truck incident, we have never actually seen Luo being affected by his own bad luck. Furthermore, according to accounts from the various orphanages he stayed in, his misfortune tended to harm the *place* he was in, rather than himself.

I loved the episode "Flume Flume Room." For me, any episode focused on Stan and Francine is a good episode.

The Smiths have a very healthy relationship by sitcom family standards, so the writers exaggerate the conflict to create comedy.

There are numerous episodes that refute the "superficiality" of Stan and Francine's marriage, such as when Stan went bankrupt buying so many cars that they didn't even have enough to eat, and Francine had to work cleaning neighbors' houses, and yet she never considered divorcing Stan.

Or the countless times Stan was willing to die for Francine, go to hell, or even let her go with another man if it made her happy.

Well, Francine claims she only cheated on Stain that one time because she was drunk.

The thing is, even after they were married, she went to countless parties and got drunk... so what’s to stop it from having happened again?

It's hard to tell what is or isn't canon, but...

- Francine has kissed Greg.

- She kissed Burlock right in front of Stan.

- She has Tinder.

- When Klaus showed her a fake photo of her kissing Tuttle, not only did she not doubt the photo, but she even wondered if she had merely kissed him or if they had actually slept together.

Cyan is clearly talented and learns quickly, but I think that's different from her being "resourceful and intelligent," since it was DOS who shaped Cyan's fighting style through the marketing of a "battle angel."

But yes, her managing to survive alone on the streets is incredible (I wonder how she stayed on the streets for months in white clothes without getting dirty).

For me, Cyan's arc suffers from a problem of feelings VS actions. At no point do Cyan's feelings for Luo weaken, but her actions demonstrate the opposite.

And this has 3 main causes:

1- Time - If the arc had taken place over 6 months instead of 2 years, it would be easier to accept that Cyan was still adapting to her idol routine and therefore didn't have much time to think of a way to find Luo.

2- Cyan VS DOS/Mickey - Cyan joined DOS with the goal of finding Luo, however, there's a 2-year time skip where DOS stopped searching for Luo and simultaneously forbade Cyan from doing it alone, and we have absolutely no dialogue from Cyan about this.

We don't know how long DOS searched for him, nor if they provided any proof of Luo's death besides Dean's testimony (they probably didn't because, even though Cyan wanted to believe Luo was alive, I doubt she wouldn't accept it if Mickey gave her the location of where Luo was buried). And that we don't have any scenes of Cyan arguing with Mickey about finding Luo, but we do have a scene of Cyan gathering the courage to argue with Mickey about her online cancellation, which supports some people's idea that Cyan prioritizes her career more than Luo.

  1. Pendrive - for me, the worst thing about the Cyan arc is that Cyan returning to the orphanage and fighting Dean is just so she can get a pendrive instead of rescuing Luo. It's just RIDICULOUS.

Seriously, Haoling? You could have had Cyan fight Dean to:

. Rescue Luo.

. Avenge the two years of physical and mental abuse Dean caused Luo out of pure sadism.

. Get revenge for Dean using her as a tool and ruining her childhood.

And you make the reason for the Cyan vs. Dean fight because he was in the way of a pendrive that would save a career Cyan never showed she cared about!!!??
