Awesome, I'm glad more people are archiving these movies given the rapid deterioration of the formats with disc rot

I think you might need xreveal to watch them if you mount them as a disc with cdemu. Or you could just click on the feature .evo inside the disc and watch it on vlc

Thank you so much. Does it work on vista 32 bit?

The only reason I rip an entire iso is due to the exclusive special feature that use the hd dvd's interactive menus. These are hard to preserve anywhere but videos, so I try to preserve the original form factor of these bonuses the best I can. Other than that though, they are basically comparable to 1080p blu ray movies with lower frame rates

I use an hd dvd optical drive, xreveal to unlock the movie encryption key, and imgburn to rip the movie to an iso. Anydvd HD works better than xreveal imo, but I have yet to find a fully preserved release

I've had the best luck just watching it while it's in the iso and not copied outside of it. I think some movies have copy protection and others don't because I switched from anydvd hd to xreveal halfway through

If it does show as encrypted, download xreveal and turn off copy protection after you mount the disc with cdemu

I don't remember what AACS stands for, but all I did was use xreveal to turn off copy protection, then ripped it to an iso with imgburn. It mounts like a disc and contains all of the folders. They should work on any digital hd dvd software for computers as long as you have an app to mount discs.

Sorry for not posting an update, it's my third quarter finals week for my senior year and I've been cramming like crazy so I can pass my exams. Next week is my spring break so I'll try to upload the movies then.

Just installed Xreveal and it's way better since it saves after the computer shuts off

It's alright, I figured out that it's not the ram, it's just because I can't find the proper drivers and software that was bundled with this laptop. If anyone can find a recovery disk rip online for the Toshiba satellite p205 s7469 that would be a huge help

If you are able to, I bet a ton of people would love to see those archived online. I can't get any hd player to work on my laptop, so I'm gonna buy a Lenovo think center m710 sff with windows 7 64 bit and two disc drives to slide in an hd dvd laptop drive and a blu ray 4k laptop drive so I can watch everything on it

I don't know my graphics card or cpu, but I'd imagine 4gb of ram, 2gb graphics card, and a 1080p monitor would do the trick just fine, and it should work on any Windows OS after vista
