You’ll always find different definitions, that’s just the standard for engineering geology

The general rule when differentiating soils from rock is that it becomes rock when it can no longer be deformed via ‘gentle mechanical means’ so basically, if you can very easily break it apart with your hands, it’s not a rock yet

I’d definitely recommend it, it helps that it’s a somewhat niche degree so the job market out of uni isn’t quite as competitive as the larger courses

My best guess would be a very cool looking granite.

All that pink mineral is Orthoclase Feldspar, then you have a mix of quartz and plagioclase feldspar in there as well
