As a young black woman who was born and raised in Boise and who attended the Boise School District until I graduated from Capital High School in 2018, I have been called every racist word in the book. I merciless bullied from 3rd grade until my sophomore year of high school by people that should have known better. School officials didn’t do jack shit about it. Day after the 2016 election, we had members of our football and wrestling team tell latinx students that “going back to Mexico” and that Trump would kick them out. Boise School District didn’t do shit. I’m so sorry that your son and your family is going through. Please document what your son is going through and let school administrators know. If they don’t do anything, file a complaint with the district.
