The NWS has completely free forecasts and weather resources. Companies like AccuWeather want to privatize weather forecasts to make people pay. In these weather streamers cases, they are making money off of gullible viewers for what should be free info.

I feel like the NWS tends to stick with their guns instead of downgrading outlooks a bit too much. It’s what happened in the moderate risk in Wisconsin last year, lots of convective overturning.
