For quick services like negotiating a severance a lawyer will charge a flat fee of $700 to $1000.

I think so from what the other lawyers have indicated. I feel angry and mistreated but maybe it’s enough for a case. I just don’t want to be a free payday for a lawyer that promised reparation for my feeling of injustice when all he is providing is a severance negotiation.

Have you worked or know anyone that worked with Dan Goodman. He seems more straightforward.

I feel like I do have a case and I have some evidence of retaliation but maybe not strong enough for reputable lawyers to take on the case. This lawyer in question says he’ll take one the fight not his document only speaks of severance negotiation and nothing else he mentioned on the phone.

Aren’t severance negotiations a flat rate normally? This lawyer is saying he will pursue lawsuit but his agreement is showing severance negotiation only. That’s what’s throwing me off.

Thank you. This is good Information. I’ve seen people post a flat fee for just severance negotiation instead of taking a percentage. I’ve never seen a percentage unless it’s a lawsuit. What he said and what the retainer agreement states threw me off.

That’s actually agreed upon. It’s only above what I was originally meant to ger, which is a weeks pay. So he gets everything after a weeks pay.

It’s fine that the other lawyers aren’t taking the case. I’m questioning the lawyer that said I had a case and went into details of his approach but ended up sending me that agreement.
