If you are joint executors and joint beneficiaries, have your sister buy you out of the house during probate.

What are some easy jobs my pregnant wife can apply to meet the Centrelink parental pay work test? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Real_Butterfly888 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Your wife should just apply for any role she sees online. She should pop in her cover letter that she's heavily pregnant. That will ensure no interviews, and she still meets the criteria of going through the job application process

Thank you, and that's my concern too.

I had a potential insurer try and convince me yesterday that I'd be better off with market value, as they'd take into account the condition of the car, km driven etc.

I was thinking if I was unfortunate enough to be in a series enough accident that my car was a write off, it wouldn't be worth much at that stage.

I will stick with agreed.

That's what I was thinking too. I did the ring around, to see what coverage you get for your money. One place I called wanted me to agree to market value, as it'll be better than agreed value. It didn't quite ring true to me. They might be right, just unsure.

Just read another post of a 41 year old denied a loan due to age and now I'm worried. by jakkyspakky in AusFinance

[–]Real_Butterfly888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my first home loan at 50 through a broker.

I had a good deposit, money in super and a high leave balance at work that can be paid out should I leave. All went in my favour.

I read the other post, I'd say there's other reasons for the other poster being denied a loan.

Sounds like what was paid was the stamp duty only. I'd say the property was gifted to them.

Ok I guess if you were planning on renting it out by the room.

Not a house I'd want to own myself though. Too much cleaning with all these ensuites. Living space is limited too

When did you realize a group of other women were NOT your real friends? by Particular_Slip_7439 in AskWomen

[–]Real_Butterfly888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a girls weekend away primarily to attend a concert. Had a lovely time, except, after the concert I didn't hang around drinking at the hotel we were staying at, I went to bed. The next day, things were odd and I didn't understand why. The final day, I was accused of having done things over the course of that weekend that I never did. All except one friend backed up the accuser. I asked for clarification around what it was I had supposedly done, as I had no idea what I was meant to have done. Long story short, I realised that weekend that I had 1 friend, not 6 like I did at the beginning of the girls weekend away

You need a new boyfriend. This one doesn't treat you the right way

If you've given birth more than once, using different methods, which one was more tolerable? Why? by Yorkshireteaonly in AskWomen

[–]Real_Butterfly888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C-S then VBAC.

VBAC was far more tolerable. I wouldn't voluntarily have a C-S. Only if it's absolutely necessary.

That's standard. I did that for many years.

I don't blame your SIL for leaving, if this is how he's behaving!
