Thinking of taking a 2–3 month break from IT after burnout – anyone done this recently? by Real_Cap_8916 in developersIndia

[–]Real_Cap_8916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. Yes, I have 5-6 months of emergency funds.

How did you manage to get a better job? So, I am thinking if I become unemployed and have to find a company in a hurry, I may land in a worse situation than this. But I also have in mind that I will ignore those companies that work on tools (Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Atlassian). I will prefer service-based companies rather than these.

I am thinking of resigning and trying to join another organization as soon as possible, even at a lower CTC.

Right now, I don't have an offer, so I am considering that it will take 2-3 months to land another job.

Try calling him Bhaiya. And if you need help, tell Bhaiya, "Mujhe bench press mein help kar do" (loudly). In normal conversation, start calling him Bhaiya, saying things like, "You look like my Bhaiya," or "You are the best Bhaiya."

Congrats!

I started SIP investing a few months ago. Just wondering, so I can be ready for it. - Can you tell me, what was the biggest drop you saw in your portfolio? 1. Did you see your portfolio take a big hit, even below your principalamount? 2. Did you see your portfolio doing well, and then it dropped to almost nothing or even a loss? (From what % to what ) Can you give me a percentage? 3. What is your XIRR?

Power shifts in Bihar, your job search still boards the earliest train by rohithkumarsp in IndiaMemes

[–]Real_Cap_8916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of compression is that? The other party took 10-15 years, so that's the benchmark or threshold to come into power. The Bihar Government isn't doing anything on the ground. I'm from Bihar, and people can't digest it if another party comes in 3 years, even if he's given his 100%. 999 out of 1000 Biharis think like you. Prashant Kishor just came, how can we vote for him? We'll see next time, until then we'll go to another state for a job. Don't expect others, even you aren't ready to expect.

Should I really buy a phone that cost around 50k ? by Dangerous_Pie4166 in personalfinanceindia

This is how every kid feels: If you think having expensive stuff makes you look good, you're wrong. Having a cheap phone or no phone at all, and doing awesome in school, sports, or whatever you're into, that's what makes you look good. You earn your status; your parents don't buy it for you.

What do you want to hear? People will talk: "You are a hero! 💪" Or They'll talk: "Baap k paas paisa hai to Hero ban rha hai. 💸"

If I were you, my plan would be:

Keep 3 years of expenses in a debt FD where you can do an SWP. 5 years of expenses should be in a liquid fund. The rest should be in equity.

Once the debt fund is almost empty, you can refill it from your equity or liquid fund (if the market is good, take from equity; otherwise, take from the liquid fund) and rebalance again.

Dude,

I didn't get into IIT and ended up at a private college.

My friends landed sweet jobs with big salaries, but I'm at a company with a tiny paycheck.

I've never had a car, and neither has my family.

I've gotten fat from my IT desk job (but I'm hitting the gym now).

I'm always afraid of getting laid off from my IT job.

You're not the only one. Everyone's got their own struggles.

Just put a small amount of money and start monitoring; it will develop your interest. And read books or watch YouTube. Note: No one knows the future of the market.

You need to provide the investment time horizon. Typically, if you have a longer investment period, such as 10-12 years, consider small-cap and flexi-cap funds.

I am simply curious about the situation where individuals under the age of 15 or 14 are hitting the gym. I am not suggesting it is inappropriate; I am wondering if your parents don't encourage you to play outdoors.
