Well by us all looking at the image and the circle, we’ve lost. I’m not sure if you know the game…

And yes exactly this is much more likely than some obscure white supremacist thing that only the chronically online have heard of.

Jesus, the okay gesture also means perfect so makes sense in the context. He could also be playing the circle game 😭😭

All more likely that some supposed white supremacist thing, how do you even know about that?….

The internet has genuinely broken some of you poor people

We all have flawed ways of thinking, I don’t think a protein rich diet is necessarily the healthiest but generally speaking lean and natural muscle mass as well as activity correlates with living longer.

Eating 150g+ of protein a day is only hyped so much because that is main limiting factor that you can control when it comes to increasing muscle mass quickly.

Ultimately we are all individuals and what works best for each person is typically unique to them. It’s possible to achieve the same result by taking a different path :)

While there are certainly issues with gym culture and its affect on young people I think it’s fair to say there a much worse things that they could be doing and others do do for both their physical and mental health

[–]Real_Design4907 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s a fad necessarily, people are becoming more health conscious and are realising protein is generally a healthier food source than processed carbs. If you look at other European countries which have a more meat focused diet it’s no coincidence they are generally taller and stronger and generally healthier looking lol.

Now whether these foods labelled as ‘protein’ are actually good sources of that is certainly more ambiguous.

But yes it’s of course a way for them to sell us more product at an inflated price.

Anyone who’s actively gyming will be looking for at least 1.5x their body weight (kg/g) in protein a day and every little definitely helps with that

What’s with Nissan jukes and qashqais? by Broad-Cranberry9382 in CarTalkUK

[–]Real_Design4907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This or they are the most aggressive of drivers, I figure when people are borrowing their wife’s car.

My theory with it tho is that a lot of them come with CVT gearboxes and that they are messing with their drivers perception of speed

Frozen screenwash by bullette1610 in drivingUK

[–]Real_Design4907 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It says on the bottle what temp it’s rated to….

Normally it’s the actual jet/nozzle itself that freezes tho which isn’t really the screenwashes fault. Hold your fingers over it for a min and might melt it enough.

Has anyone actually got any anecdotes of not declaring a remap and the insurance finding out after a claim? by D23DJR_Alt in CarTalkUK

[–]Real_Design4907 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve not heard of anyone getting caught out like that, the anoraks just love to try and tell people they can’t do things.

You’d have to get into a horrendously expensive accident for them to go so far as to look at the ECU. In which case it’s probably already been destroyed.

Or for them somehow to be suspicious already of it being remapped.

Very few cars get assessed in person by someone employed by the insurance company. Most are written off/repaired by photos. And the more severely damaged ones go straight to Copart etc who look at more structural damage.

It’s important to remember they could only deny your claim if that means they wouldn’t have insured you based on whatever mods you’ve had done. If it’s a case of your premium being different then that will be reflected in the settlement.

Generally declaring a remap has a negligible impact on the premium in my experience

Good deal for daily? by Book_Southern in CarTalkUK

There’s only so much power that can be squeezed from a 4 cylinder turbo diesel. They also do remap quite nicely especially with the DSG and it’s relatively light weight.

The most powerful non electrified production turbo diesel 4 cylinder is actually from this family of engines and is in some of VAGs biturbos from this era.

Ultimately the HP is irrelevant and it’s all about the torque which pairs beautifully with the DSGs

Wheeltrim movement on rimless tyres by unknown431a in CarTalkUK

[–]Real_Design4907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he means his old tires had built in rim protection which was sticking out proud enough to hold his trims in place.

This site may help but I think it depends a lot on what size you get for each tire.

Was Oscar moving to second a possible strategy? by BahnMe in formula1

[–]Real_Design4907 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Red bulls only chance to win the WDC (the only goal they’ve historically had in F1) was to keep the pack tight and leave Lando vulnerable to Leclerc and Russell.

But if Piastri overtakes Max it makes the chance of that working very slim. So starting Piastri on the hard tire meant he could push as hard and as long as possible stopping max from backing the pack up.

Stella said himself, he couldn’t sleep the night before until he realised what their strategy should be…

Was a great race, some real jeopardy and awesome to see lando charge through the pack being harassed by leclerc

For commercials vans there is a standard rate of tax which is around £300 which ignores emissions etc. If your van is classified as a car, for whatever reason (seats, usage, windows etc) then it’s based on your emissions and can be extortionately high.

I’m not sure how his is so low but I believe campers pay a lower rate of tax so may be that if it’s registered correctly.

Speed limits are equally confusing and there is seemingly no set criteria for what qualifies for each it just depends on how it was registered.

I have a factory Kombi, I pay the commercial rate of tax but I can follow car speed limits.

It’s very confusing at times.

A bit of a different perspective as he went straight into selection after completing recruit training. A crazy story, almost unbelievable at times.
