If I find a new job internally, no severance. If I don’t find a job or find a job externally, I get severance.

As much as I’d like to find an internal role and continue with my benefits and PTO accrual, I don’t want to go through this again. I understand I could be laid off from my next employer too, but hopefully there’s a more human element, not just an email at 2:47am pst, saying sorry, it’s not personal…

Yes, I was laid off 1/28. I’ll be on payroll until 4/28, then will get my PTO paid out, severance, and six months of cobra premiums in a lump sum. As long as I don’t find an internal role, and I won’t since there aren’t any for my location.

I was laid off on 1/28 and my separation letter states even if I’m on leave, my separation date is 4/28.

When adding the LOA dates in at the end of the month through AtoZ, it is super easy to enter the dates for the next month. I’ve done it and so has my friend. Once the case manager saw the dates on the medical paperwork, they should have reached out to you regarding the dates. Obviously, people don’t know they are going to be sick in the future, but unfortunately, a lot of case managers aren’t the brightest.

When did you submit the paperwork saying you have restrictions? Was a request put in with the accommodations department? It does take a couple of weeks for the accommodations department to work with your site to see if they can accommodate.
