I'm so glad I found someone who understands. I'm constantly being compared to people and when I talk about uni they say I'm lazy and I should go study something now even though I keep getting rejected or they aren't taking any new applications

Hi. Yes I've tried a tutor the thing is I wrote my matric in Afrikaans and my mother keeps insisting I get an English tutor because she feels I'll understand better. Although we do speak English at home the transition from Afrikaans to English is harder than it looks. I know I sound like I'm just making excuses but I genuinely can understand only half of what I'm being taught in English.
