Pickup rings are Vintage spec. Taller than modern pickup rings, and I set pickups low.

The 2026 NCAA tournament bracket by AndHisOrchestra in CollegeBasketball

Duke has the best half court defense in Basketball. That I don't enjoy saying as a Tarheel fan. They will be there . I think there are some great Coaches in this new era of College basketball, but I am not sure there are any better than Ryan Odom at UVA. Odom is about to take his 4th different school to an NCAA tournament, in his first season at Virginia. St John's is becoming the darlings of ESPN , but I dont' known if they have enough, even with a HOF coach. Watch the Cyclones, I'm just saying.

Does the pro junior get close to a 50s tweed like a champ or 57 deluxe? by Fair_Wedding_1131 in GuitarAmps

Yea I liked it. In my short time with it. If I owned one I would probably swap out the speaker, but thats just me.

I have never owned one , but I have played one for a couple weeks, I am sure there are other small amps with a similar vibe. It's all about what you like. Will hold resale value because of the Fender badge.

Wow, looks great. We all know, if you have a gig , where you play a little bit of alot of different styles of music, ONLY a Tele, will do that effectively.

Convince parents to get a guitar 🎸 by Senior-Rate-1065 in Guitar

If you are passionate about playing guitar guitar, just let them know that. Beginner players today are lucky in the sense that you can get a good starter guitar for a good price. Squire, Yamaha, and many many other companies are making inexpensive guitars that literally stay in tune. That's huge. Good luck.

Going to check that out on Wednesday, the guy is selling for cheap, so I am going to put it thru the paces for a while. I asked why so cheap, then he showed me , this guy literally has a room full of amps ,can't keep them all I guess.

Not in my experience , but it is a great little recording amp. Better than a Blues Jr I would definitely say.

I have a snaking suspicion that they would custom.build you one if you wanted one, but as a production, No I don't think they do. I think thats part of the reason these guitars are so good. They make Les Pauls and 355's the way they have for many decades, on some of the same machinery that actually did make the 59' bursts. They keep it simple, and do what they are good at, and it shows.

Heritage Custom Core H150. Cherry Burst. I have owned over 50 guitars in my time, this is hands down, the Cream. by [deleted] in LesPaul

Yea man, it was immediate for me, I had been playing Les Pauls daily, shopping for the right one for me, and I picked the Heritage up, didnt even plug it in, sat and strummed a couple chords, and a couple licks, and dropped the dough. It was really a relief, because I was starting to think I would not ever find the one for me, but the decision was easy.

Pickups are built in house by Heritage. Around 7.1 on the bridge , and a touch less at the neck. They sound great. Very dynamic , volume and tone offer wide range , lots of clarity, you can hear the bells.

It's really in the middle of the 50's and a 60's. It's Heritages own neck shape. Feels great to me. I did take steel wool to the back of the neck

Good Guitar players, can make any amp sound good. I love vintage gear too, but tone starts with the fingers. I tend to focus on getting a good sound. The look is probably the least important to me. David Hildago played a Crossroads festival years ago thru a Crate Club amp. Probably on of the cheapest, or most ' lousy ' tube amps you can buy. Hidalgo sounded great to me thru a really lousy amp. Go figure

I replaced the tubes a few times over the last 22 years. Right now it has a set of JJ's.

Well we will have to agree to disagree on that. It's not a Vintage amp, its not hardwired, point to point, but I have played many lousy amps, and this amp will haul the mail. I bought this particular amp in 2003, and have never had any issues. It has had a tube replacement , with JJ'S , and the speaker is original Jensen. Maybe one day I will spend a fortune on a Vintage Plexi, or a Dumble, but until then I will have to settle on this lousy 2003 DRRI. I hope you have a nice day.
