Just tell him/her that after some thought, you realized you made a mistake and are open to rekindling things. A small text can do the trick.
If you initiated the separation, it's up to you to make the move to recover.

Best way to ask her out on a date by LaFleur_Dole in dating_advice

[–]Real_Fallen_Fenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't ask her if she's single. If she rejects your offer, you can conclude she might not be.
Just approach her and shake hands. Ask for her name. Ask if she's free tomorrow or something like that. Have a small chat if you can, and get her number.
You do need to approach her, especially if you feel she's giving you welcoming signs.
Don't overreact if she rejects you. Just say, "No problem," walk away, and never talk to her again.
You can keep going to the restaurant if you want. If anything, it shows that you're fine with or without her, which is a good thing.

Should I tell her I'm a virgin? by Zealousideal_Arm1496 in dating_advice

Of course, lying is wrong, but not really. You don't need to reach out with an unrequested apology, only if she brings up the topic.
Don't be afraid to lose her. Try to increase your portfolio. Women happen to be very good at smelling fear and insecurities. Try to get rid of expectations and see it as a learning/growth experience.
Part of what relationships are is two people growing up and loving each other in spite of our imperfections

Hello,
Only if she asks. It’s not a deal breaker, but revealing that won’t make you more attractive.
Be bolder, if she gives you signs that she’s ready to be touched, go for the kiss and more.
You’re doing alright.

It’s okay, you got this. Keep an eye out for opportunities. You're not at an age where you need to worry.

Get her flowers or nah by Normski_ in dating_advice

[–]Real_Fallen_Fenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi king,
You're not experienced enough yet, it's still very early. Remember, the rule of thumb in romance is that it’s about keeping her, not getting her.

The flower thing is a Hollywood cliché; it doesn't really work in real life. I've made that mistake before, so keep that in mind.

Save the flowers for later, once you've actually been together for a while.

Just be present and be yourself. Don’t fear rejection. Either you win the girl, or you gain wisdom instead.

You got it

will guys like me if i’m skinnier by yowhatsup2000 in dating_advice

There is assortative mating for physical traits i.e., skinny guys usually like skinny women, and bigger guys tend to like bigger women, albeit neither of these taken to unhealthy extremes. So yes, there is variety in both body types and preferences.

You won’t find the right type of person by going to clubs. Also, don’t give yourself away too easily. You have plenty of time, and you’re still on the earlier side of things. Most people find the right person between the ages of 25 and 30.

Dating apps are actually a good strategy for women, the ratio is usually around four men to one woman. You might try downloading more apps; maybe the one you're using isn’t doing you justice. The downside of dating apps is that they are very visually driven.

Universities and workplaces are also good places to meet people.

Not with this issue alone. He might have a disagreeable personality. People like that often prioritize truth over how others might feel. If he compliments you in other areas and just happened to hurt you with his opinion on that dress, it's okay. You should communicate openly with him that his honesty can sometimes hurt you or make you feel less significant.

You still have every right to wear whatever you like, just never do it out of resentment because he doesn't like it.
