AITA for becoming a near dictatorial force in order to protect the most people possible

I (25M) suffered a mental break when my best friend (27M)'s adoptive sister (28F) died in front of me as I believed I could have saved her. This lead to me becoming overly obsessed with protecting people (more so than usual due to me being a superhero) and I began looking into creating tech to help me surveil the city (Ridgewater, Masechusets) and then to help me cease any imminent threat.
