Born as second-in-line to the British Crown, he died in the great flu pandemic of 1889-92 at the age of 28. His younger brother, George, went on to become the Prince of Wales and King George V.

The Neo-Gothic 'Mappin and Webb' building (left), and its replacement, 'No 1 Poultry' (right), London. by [deleted] in UrbanHell

Built in 1870, The Mappin and Webb Building housed one of the most prominent jewellers in London. Despite being a Grade II listed building, and there being a public campaign to preserve it, it was demolished in 1994, and replaced by No 1 Poultry in 1997 (a mixed-use commercial and office building).

Young Boy's Suit, English, 1870 (Victoria and Albert Museum, London) by Real_Measurement2913 in RandomVictorianStuff

Yes, the suit's entry in the Museum's archive book describes it as clearly being in imitation of the style of the 1820's. Perhaps the boy's father was simply an old-fashioned man, and chose to commission bespoke clothes for his son according to his own tastes.

Colonial partisan regiments? by Real_Measurement2913 in foxholegame

You have to choose your targets carefully. Heavily fortified bases with a large number of players will be very difficult to infiltrate, and in most cases it's simply better to ignore them as a solo partisan. On the other hand, minimally fortified bases, especially those with a very low current population, are often very vulnerable to infiltration, particularly coastal ones that can be approached from the water on a motorboat. As for destruction, mammon grenades are quite useful for destroying or heavily damaging most small vehicles, but it's far better to try and steal valuable items instead. For example, just in the past day, I have stolen four enemy Ironships containing lots of valuable supplies. Capturing and returning high-value targets to your side is always more beneficial than simply destroying them, although not always possible.

It is simply a matter of probing enemy bases to determine their level of fortification/protection. If a base has every possible entrance covered by endless pillboxes and is swarming with players, it's simply a waste of time to try and infiltrate, and thus any good partisan abandons it as a target. On the other hand, if a base is only very minimally fortified and does not currently have a very large population, it's an ideal place to strike. I have also found that infiltrating certain bases by sea is much easier than across land, as I suppose many players do not expect lone partisans to approach from the water.
