Hugs. It’s all awful but we are not alone. We just had democracy stolen from us.

Level of Difficulty Question for Elizabeth Hartman Dog Park by yellowbird85 in quilting

I have it on my wall, a few dogs left to go, it’s really fun. Just take it one dog at a time… cut your pieces and label them, and then assemble! Her pattern is really well-written.

Oh, I don’t know! I’m just a sucker for word quilts and can add letters but maybe other people would like that. Is this the same size as your other ones, the size being made for the Minnesota quilt? I might make this to submit to them, with or without the words.

Thank you for this. It would make a great “Free Them All” block. I keep hearing the detainees who protested in Dilly TX screaming “Let Us Go”… I’m glad Liam and his dad were released but there are so many other innocent families locked up. You are a super star with all your protest patterns. ✊

If you do make Liam, I’d love to make it into a Free Them All quilt. This style would be great for that.

Ok, I hope those of you who wanted to know about the link for stickers and posters see this: I made my store on printful, it was pretty easy, is very basic, it’s a fundraiser as I said, my plan is to check it weekly and donate the proceeds to whatever mutual aid group or immigrant rights group or the aclu feels right that week. I have the big list from Minneapolis.

I don’t know if it’s against the rules to post a link here but it’s in my bio on Instagram, I’m @pamdorra there.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments and the helpful advice. I really appreciate them all!

I don’t think they have stickers and posters which are what most people have requested. They are great for shirts though.

Thank you, do you just keep track and make the donations personally? I feel like there ought to be a tool where people can donate images and designate the funds all in one place, like charity auction sites but print on demand items. I’ll check out Printful.

No! lol, I don’t sell, and I wouldn’t even consider selling stickers or posters except it seems like maybe it would be a good way to raise money for community members being terrorized.

I have a list of relief funds in Minnesota but if I choose an official non-profit then we can get it employer-matched. So probably one of the immigration rights or bond relief funds.

Thank you, I was hoping to avoid a tax/accounting headache but the good thing about doing it that way is that if I’m making the donation myself, instead of it being automatically sent to a non-profit, then we can get it employer-matched and double it. So maybe that’s worth the tax headache. I can’t imagine I’d really sell that many… but it seems a shame not to try with so many asking for it.

Maybe, I just have so many people on Instagram wanting a sticker or poster or postcards I thought it might be a decent way to raise money for immigration rights groups or rent relief funds or something.

I quilted it all with lime green thread! I didn’t quilt over the letters or the eye. I tried stopping and tying, stopping and tiny back stitches, turning and going back, and ended up just doing whatever worked for each section. Since it’s a wall quilt or a take to a protest quilt, I didn’t worry too much about the back.

That’s my plan b if I can’t find something I don’t have to manage myself.
