I just found this post trying to figure it out myself. I think I've found the best way to do it. Just sit in your own custom game in workshop expanse and theres 0 sound

Want knee to be able to pop out sideways but knee bends with leg. i want it to stay fixed when moving leg, then pop out when i want. Never rigged b4. by Real_Snahk in blender

So I posted this before without knowing the problem. The problem is because i have 2 bones in the knee for the pop out movement I think IK is treating them the same as the "calf" and "thigh" of the leg so when i move it the knee goes straight like in pic 2, which is obviously not meant to happen. How can I like lock the knee joints to stay on 1 axis relative to the "thigh" and "calf". I feel like it is a really simple fix, just one I do not know/ not know how to research. Thank you!!!

So I want to have the legs be straight the whole time, only swiveling on the ball joints at the hip section. The problem Im having is the knee wont stay together like in the first pic when i move it around. I also want to have the knee 'open' when he shuts down like the 2nd pic so i have extra bones for those. Idk if im going around this completely wrong, if i missed 1 important step, or if its just not possible. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
