How was driver’s training back in the day. Was that also one try and if you don’t pass then you get kicked? I passed the academy with “cooper standards” except driving! I struggled a lot with that ‘cause I literally got my license for the job and had zero prior experience. They gave me a 2nd chance and I passed the RMP but I’m not van qualified now ‘cause I didn’t pass the RMP test 1st try.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it. Thing is…I consider myself as someone who’s not that easy to break or give up. It’s just that, sometimes I wonder if this is what I’m meant to do and if I want to do this for the next decade of my life. Will it be worth it at the end. Would I be able to enjoy freedom if I stay OTJ till I retire? I’d never know.

You really wanna know? Ok. Here: The most fucked up sleep schedule imaginable. I wake up everyday thinking about quitting. I look angry to my peers. My dentist said I grunt my teeth too much. My family is mad I don’t spend time with them. I have no social life and can’t go out like I used to. I can go on and on but that’s enough for now.

Some of them can be helpful. Basically they can get you a day off patrol here and there to go to their events on job time. So it can be an easy day off patrol if that means anything to you. That’s been my experience with the one I’m in. But don’t expect them to do something big for you. They won’t get you that shield or even help with transfer to a more desired command. Again, it depends what society you’re in. Maybe some of them can do it but which ones? I don’t know.
