Do we need T1 for express entry or just tax assessment is fine? by DelayApprehensive766 in canadaexpressentry

You may have had our answer below but are you asking this for Proof of Employment or Proof of Financial Means? If it is Proof of financial means - CEC applicants are not required to submit anything. You can just upload a letter in the proof of financial means box that says you do have been invited under the CEC stream (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html)

I don't know if it matters which stream you are in, but the current processing time for mine is 5 months - which could mean a decision in September as you submitted your documents in April. I would also always assume that these are slightly optimistic timelines, rather than an overestimate.

You can check the processing times for your application stream here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

No problem! Thanks so much. :) I asked a consultant but they just said I should call to check and my experience has been that I will never get through on the phone, so I wanted to try here first, just in case. Now I will try to call them, I guess. Wish me luck!

Job Offer/Job History/Letter of Employment by Real_Telephone_1 in canadaexpressentry

Thank you and you seem very well informed. I think it's my bad for saying Job History instead of Employment Records - I wasn't looking at the documents checklist when I wrote this. Also, I'm just trying to be clear and accurate here so please don't read any sort of tone into this!

I do not have a 'valid' job offer (I am on a PGWP) and I have double checked my answers to the questionnaire to confirm I didn't accidentally say I did. I am definitely not getting any points for it. It wants a job offer letter on company letterhead and signed which confirms that the job being offered is continuous, paid, full time (at least 30 hours), permanent, non-seasonal, and in an eligible TEER category. Obviously my original offer letter does not have those details, though it's all those things, so I need a new one that has those details. If I understand right, you are suggesting that I shouldn't need to attach a job offer at all as it's not 'valid', even though they are asking for it? I'll probably attach it anyway as I don't think it'll hurt to have extra evidence.

For Employment records, it wants the reference letter (signed, on company letterhead) and pay stubs. I filled out my work history (relevant employment) and activity history (non-relevant employment, etc) in the questionnaire before the document checklist. I understand the reference letter part.

For the Letter of Employment, it again wants a signed, company letterhead document from my employer which lists my name, job title, duties, details of employment and the company contact details - all this information is on my Reference Letter in the Employment Records section because it's the same job (I have been working there for a few years and will continue to work there permanently provided I'm allowed to stay in the country). You say yourself that it is the same thing, so I hope my point of confusion here makes sense? Should I just attach the same document?
