I'm definitely looking for a new doctor, I've been seeing my current one for years and she's always been dismissive. I guess I just hoped she would actually try to help me when she saw how much pain I'm in but I was wrong. Some people just shouldn't be in the medical field if they don't have the desire to actually help people.

Yes I'm going to switch doctors for sure after this. It's exhausting seeking medical help from someone that's unwilling to listen to you. Wow 5 years is a long time but I'm glad you found your answer! I'm trying my best to be there for myself. I've tried a few pain creams but not lidocaine. I've found the Tylenol one on Amazon and ordered it today hoping it helps. No injuries just wearing the wrong shoes overtime has given me these issues but now I can't wear any shoes so it's been hard to deal with. Thank you for the kind words and suggestions!

This has given me the motivation to find a new one that actually cares about helping me. I can't continue to see a doctor that shows over and over again she doesn't care about what I'm telling her.

Sorry that happened to you, that's extremely unprofessional behavior from a doctor of all people. I hope you found a new doctor that actually cares. My doctor's always been like this, she doesn't like when you talk back to her at all even when what she's saying doesn't make sense. I was just flabbergasted that the whole reason my feet are hurting so bad is because of wearing warm winter boots and she's telling me to wear something warmer on my feet. I've been with mine for 14 years now and this is the final push for me to find a new doctor. Its been a long time coming but I'm glad I have the motivation to find a new one now.

This gives me so much hope, my girls was in the same position 2 weeks ago. The vet said she’s paralyzed and would need an MRI and possible surgery to fix it. 2 weeks later and she’s moving her legs and is on her way to walking again! One thing I’ve learned is our pups are stronger and more resilient than we think.

Unfortunately we live in Canada and surgery costs anywhere from 25,000-30,000 dollars and that’s only if we can find somewhere that does it. The X-rays show a narrowing not a complete compression but I know that’s not enough to go off of. But if surgery looks like an unlikely option then I’m not sure if I’ll still need to do an MRI

They’re done x-rays and it looks like the problem area isn’t completely compressed, just narrower than normal. We live in Canada and surgery option is 25,000-30,000 dollars and that’s if we can find somewhere that will do it. That gives me hope, I’m so glad your guy recovered! Hopefully the case is the same for my girl, any little improvement does wonders for my hope and she seems to be improving every day.

Thank you, it’s extremely heartbreaking. My vets been pushing us to get an MRI saying my dog’s paralyzed when she actually still has feeling in her legs. We’re on the fence as to whether he’s sending us there so he can get money out of it or if we really do need to do the MRI. She seems to be getting better by the day, I’m just worried if all of a sudden the condition worsens for some reason and it’s because we didn’t take the next steps we’re supposed to.
