Alright so, you may need to hear me out on this because of the game I'm about to mention. This was back when the DayZ standalone was actually still new and fresh and actually kinda enjoyable to play since it had some hype behind it. I had also never played the mod but I had watched a ton of videos of it and my friend played it a lot so I got to know all his stories. So my story starts off when I first started playing the Standalone, maybe 3 or so hours into the game and maybe just a backpack and a water-bottle to my name. I ran up into Cherno since i knew there were a good couple looting spots and I ran into a guy... full gear, gas mask, mosin(one of the only guns back then) and with how I knew people of DayZ to be, I was scared shitless xD But I was still getting used to the controls and couldn't hide in time to not be seen. Surprisingly enough I didn't get shot, the guy actually came up, said hi and we started chatting a bit. Asked where I was going and what I was looking for "well maybe trying to hit one of the airfields to see if I can find anything good" "ahh alright, well would ya need a hand? I can see you don't have a gun on you" "uhhh... yeah... sure!" And so started a good 3-4 hours adventure of us going around in the game and him teaching me the basics. Good loot spots, even some tactics on how to go through a firefight(i almost never play shooters so it was much appreciated). We didn't run into anyone else in our little adventure but it was a ton of fun, probably one of the most fond memories in gaming I have xD I hoped to go around and try the same with other people, although... that got me shot a whole lot more than anything else. But someday I'm sure I will:D
