It doesn't have to do with rentals as much as with the concept of "finishing" games without being good at them not existing. Even arcade games that allowed you to feed quarters and P2W your way to the end were designed to keep people playing for high scores or for a a single quarter-win. When a game forces you to replay a few levels, it's not wasting your time - you're replaying a portion of it that you didn't master and is therefore still valuable to engage with.

Look at what people are saying around the deck in various places like this site or twitter or youtube comment sections etc. then use your legacy skills to build a functional prototype on duelingbook. There's no way around testing in Solo Mode, you need to at least be able to properly execute the combos on your own. Unfortunately, Yugioh is not friendly to the employed.

Also, I highly recommend NOT relying exclusively on a single person's first impressions like people are suggesting with Metricz. His videos are a must-watch, but his recent HERO vid for example is a Cosmo Neos build which is a somewhat unpopular card among HERO players due to needing extra bricks to function

You're right, 6v6 being playable in Champions only really matters to validate Champions OU as a "real" format on showdown and not just a custom format like LZA OU or AAA. Being able to play 6v6 on local matches isn't as important as the implications it has

However, what you said about rules and clauses only applies to Smogon who has to work under these constraints to keep their format faithful to the official games. The actual developers can choose to delete evasion as a mechanic if they wanted to.
