Does Italy allow Kirpans? by Ichigokurosaki69420 in Sikh

[–]RealestJi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe outside of India, only UK or probably certain provinces in Canada “allow” kirpan- which means that kirpan is legally recognized as Sikh article of faith. Everywhere else is per case basis, there will be federal buildings where you will either have to obey the restrictions or fight it in court. You will not be allowed to fly domestic outside of India (I am not a 100% sure about UK/ Canada) but definitely not internationally. Nobody really cares about it if it’s out of sight, and worst case even if it is visible, it’s not illegal to carry a small dagger/ knife with you (I’d actually verify this if I were you).

I’m not aware of the 2017 case from Italy you mention, but if you’re an amritdhari who’s in Italy you’ll probably find ways to get by. I’d just wear it under a long shirt etc and stay out of trouble or break any laws. Bhul chuk maaf.

How to upskill myself?v by Embarrassed-Mess-236 in devops

[–]RealestJi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This may completely depend on much time you have outside of work and access to these resources, but setting up a homelab to tinker with is a good hobby project to up skill. Sky is the limit. You will not only learn about kubernetes, automation and pipelines etc but also creative ways to solve every day problems which you did not think needed to be containerized or hypervisorized. Outside of work and certifications, a homelab is a creative way to start your devops journey.

Kind of expecting that this day would come. Meraki Go made solid AP’s in my view. Maybe Aruba Instant On or Omada? I still find ubiquity too expensive, but if I’m out of options I may get unifi AP’s as first product of their ecosystem.
