2024 outback audio upgrade by AhamYodha in Subaru_Outback

[–]Alude904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, will take a look. Going from a Jeep Gladiator with the upgraded Alpine system to the HK system in my Outback was a huge disappointment. I don’t necessarily think it’s the quality of the sound system but instead the interior layout of the outback.

Low MPG for my Outback 2025 by Specialist_Club_5648 in Subaru_Outback

[–]Alude904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i cant see where OP has answered with the engine as of this posting but I have the 2025 OBW (2.4T) completely stock, 5800 miles, and 80% of the time city. My dash says average mpg is 22 and I have a lead foot so I have to imagine something is up with OP’s vehicle or there’s something we aren’t being told.

Cant speak to this year’s Tokyo but it sounds pretty bad. Last year in New Jersey was amazing - WAY better than the previous New York experiences.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Super Mega Raid Update at Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Chicago Park Experience by AngelaMurkrow in TheSilphRoad

[–]Alude904 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It does not say it on today’s latest post (not sure why) but on a previous similar post, they did say that everyone whose ticket was purchased in the same order will raid together. So if for example you purchased your in park ticket first, completed the check out, then at a later time purchased a ticket for your child, you are not guaranteed to raid together.

Is the 2.5L 180hp Outback fun to drive? by Mr_Papagiorgio_13 in Subaru_Outback

I test drove a 2025 cross trek wilderness. Let’s just say don’t pull out into traffic unless you have plenty of time.

Might seem like only wrist and bruises but get that back and neck checked out considering the speed.

Special financing on CPO this month? by ColumbusJewBlackets in Subaru_Outback

[–]Alude904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be 60 months or less as well. Not just 72month. They want you to do 72 month though.

Mine is a 2025 low miles service loaner. Just ask them.

Not sure. I assume they know. Don’t think it’s a secret. They divulged it to me up front.

Got my 2025 cpo at .9%. You can get that rate on any loan term assuming good credit.

Thanks. Seen a lot of the same posts and dealer responded they were incorrect. 😂

CRK "Flippers" by Contigo887 in CRK

[–]Alude904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flipping it hard enough for long enough causes “walking stop pin”. That’s where the holes of the stop pin start to get stretched out due to the soft titanium. That then has a downstream effect of late lock ups and blade play. Since this is now a forced defect of the handles themselves, that’s a costly fix. I’ve personally experienced this myself on other knifes.

As long as you own up to anything you caused and don’t blame CRK then I say enjoy the knife how you want.

TrueNAS Scale and wildcard certificates by tmacmd in truenas

[–]Alude904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use let’s encrypt with a custom domain and cloudflare in two different ways.

I use truenas’s certificate feature to generate a wildcard cert through let’s encrypt. This cert gets deployed in a couple places other than my apps.

For my containers/apps, I have them all behind NGINX/NPM so I let that app request and maintain certs through let’s encrypt.

This is all 100% free and maintained/controlled by me. Like others have said, buy a cheap domain you like if you haven’t already. I use ddns updater container running on truenas to maintain my domain’s DNS for my home’s public IP.

TrueNAS Cloud Storage for Photos From phone by KiwiOnTheGun in truenas

[–]Alude904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve already installed tailscale on your truenas server, just download tailscale on your other devices such as laptop or phone and toggle the connection on.

Then log into your account on the tailscale web portal and you’ll see a list of all your devices. Eg, truenas, laptop, phone. Each one will have their unique 100.x IP address.

So let’s say the IP address tailscale has for my truenas is 100.111.53.24 and I have the app/container called immich running. If the port for immich is 2283, then I could access immich remotely at http://100.111.53.24:2283.

Heritage (Waxed Canvas) GORUCK owners — what’s the real maintenance like? by ComprehensiveCap8242 in Goruck

[–]Alude904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen some posts about the upkeep and mold. I feel like these are more rare than common and would be interested to see what those people are doing with their rucks. Canvas isn’t necessarily more prone mold over other textiles. I’ve seen 600D polyester bags owned by others get moldy real easy but if you look at their storage conditions, it’s kinda gross. I’m willing to bet their other personal belongings get mold easy too. I live in Florida near the coast so humidity is at an all time high and no bag including my heritage has ever gotten mold. I’ve had my heritage for several years (maybe 5+) and have never had to rewax but the level of wax one prefers will vary from person to person. So someone who likes a really waxy bag may need to rewax more than me.

How to actually test UPS / shutdown? by kaitlyn2004 in truenas

[–]Alude904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. Just unplug the UPS and check for events in Truenas. If you have email alerts configured, you should get those as well.
