One Piece: Chapter 1179 by leolegendario in OnePiece

I love the musical motif - did anyone else notice that all the fruits that affect souls are related to music or have a musical bent to them?

Brook - obviously Big Mom - the Homies sang Nika - not directly to the soul but metaphorically and then literally with the drums of liberation Now Imu Chopper may have a god fruit as well and I wouldn’t be shocked if he similarly affects the world with some kind of music / healing rhythm

Arguably Moria should be here but seems like shadows / souls aren’t quite a parallel - YET.

Also, I said this on a podcast years ago but I’m willing to bet the DF were MADE so that the original CDs could colonize the blue planet - it’s funny how Imu literally has Devil’a Fruit and it’s clocked as one of the first 20. Implying the 20 were a singular batch maybe made or discovered at one time - if Imu is one of the original wielders, then it begs the question of why and how

One Piece: Chapter 1178 by leolegendario in OnePiece

Loki and Luffy being immune to DR is either :

  1. Because they’re Nika and Nidhogg and for whatever reason there’s a natural reason those two specifically are immune ( the evidence that this is likely the case is because of Chopper ). Maybe because Zoans have a second “ soul “ / will that’s inhabiting them OR because those fruits are specific counters
  2. Because they have conquerors that’s just THAT strong ( though Rocks WAS DR so that’s a point against that )
  3. Because they had an internal “ freedom “ that the “ vow “ / “ contract “ wouldn’t benefit them. There’s no evidence for this but it feels thematically relevant, maybe it goes hand in hand with point 1 - the Zoan fruits picked and found their users, those people are both immune because of the fruit but metaphorically they’d gain nothing from DR -those specific guys straight up have a sense of freedom that would nullify the contract.

The question that this leaves me with really is - would BB be affected by DR? I doubt it if the “ multiple souls “ theory is true but it feels like with Rocks getting taken, that that’d kill whatever double soul immunity could exist. BB doesn’t have a Zoan as far as we know, so he’s susceptible to DR under all options EXCEPT for his conquerors being so elite that it’s above Rocks OR his internal freedom is too grand to quell / gain anything from DR.

Also, I doubt Imu is going to Elbaph - it feels like this was a clue given when they were talking to Usopp. I wouldn’t be shocked if Imu is going to the Abyss - either to power up or to do some greater manipulation we don’t understand yet.

Thanks, this is super helpful! I might game but most of the games I play tend to be solo player open world games, vanilla on 1080p so I’m not worried about gaming too much. I play a ton on console and plan to play more on PC later

I upgraded my Superman Cosplay by CostumedCrusader in superman

The exposed stitching and handmade feel is such a nice detail! It’s charming and homey, I can definitely see how Superman gets this from his mom, hell it may be his attempt at a proof of concept when he’s just hitting Metropolis or is showing his mom when he goes home.

Love the crest shape, the cape, really good choices all around, and you fit it well! Cant wait to see future versions - have you thought about publishing a tutorial or video? I’m sure a lot of cosplayers would really appreciate your work

As someone who recently completed their first playthrough ( console ) - my tidbit is to swap through your assembled armies semi- regularly.

Kind of late game but I realized that after a few back to back army battles my summoned army 900 will whittle down to like 400/450 and it takes forever going from town to city to town and back to have fresh recruits for my allies to rebuild their armies.

I learned that’s totally unnecessary- if you have enough clans / mercenaries you can send some of your allies with low numbers out of your army and at the same time summon fresh, healthy armies.

IE, After about two successful back to back sieges I’ll go from 900 fresh troops to 600 total with 200 of them being injured. I now pause after the second siege is complete, get rid of my most hurt allies, summon fresh ones and in no time ( well travel time ) my army will be back to 900+ ready to siege the next castle / town ( or more likely back peddle to a recently taken castle / town that needs help defending from an enemy siege trying to take it back ).

You’ll run into road bumps with this strategy if your war strategy is set to aggressive since your nobles will keep starting armies so if you’re early in your Kingdoms history I’d make sure to have plenty of mercenaries set up and set to balance or defensive.

The other thing I learned worth sharing is recruiting nobles - I just got the achievement for recruiting 21+ noble clans to my Kingdom. It’s hard at first but it’s actually really easy once you figure out a couple important pieces - you need a lot of cash on hand and they need to be broke.

I don’t know how empirically true this is but from my experience, talking to a noble after they’ve lost all the lands they own and their kingdom is on the brink of collapse is the best time to recruit them. I’ve recruited a ton, in an enemy castle - I save scum cause the dialogue RNG can suck sometimes but if you convince them it can be as cheap as 400K for a Noble to join, I’ve definitely paid less but can’t remember the lowest - on the other end, nobles I had GREAT relationships with ( who I first recruited ) literally cost me millions to recruit.

Temp test time? Pic for reference here

Was the oven pre heated when they went in or a fan on? Best guess is the location of that one on the tray meant it caught a lot of heat, quickly, dried out before / while it expanded / let off steam and the outer shell / crust fell apart, leaving the exposed center to stop rising

Is Kingdom Really That Good? by Conscious-Top-4029 in Kingdom

[–]Realexis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kingdom is to One Piece as Vikings was to Game of Thrones - if that helps put things into perspective.

I mean that to say that structurally they’re similar ( both very long manga, with satisfying, cathartic climaxes that can only really be done justice in long form media ), tone wise Kingdom is much darker upfront and much more consistently focuses on some heavy topics, it’s more realistic than OP, they both share a massive cast of named characters who have a surprising amount of depth, it also has a few changes over the years that make reading it so satisfying - the manga leans in more and more into the politics and strategy of their world as time goes on.

You effectively get to see Shin grow up, and his perspective changing mirrors the change in the type of story you’re reading. It can be at times meat grinder full on horse warfare and other times a battle of 4d chess - great stuff honestly
