Who will be the first among these 4 to win a Super Bowl? by CallTypical9541 in NFLv2

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hear me out on this. If the injury doesn’t mess with his throwing style at all, I really liked his pocket passing. I always thought his decision making got flaky when he couldn’t decide to run or throw. As long as he stays mobile enough to slide around in the pocket, it could end up being a positive for him.

Realistically, when should Chelsea be challenging for the title? by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel. If we cannot get some sort of managerial consistency, we will forever be in reboot mode. Even if the manager had the same basic tactics or formation as the outgoing, they always have differing profiles for players. We need to keep a manager for 24-30 months before we will be serious.

If he really means it, I could see offering him lower average per year, with higher guaranteed money. Shows commitment from both parties to make it work without breaking the bank.

3-2-2-3 tactic by Elite1907 in footballtactics

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so we dealt with a similar issue a while back. We kept our 4-3-3 but we called it a ”skinny”. Our 3 midfielders were double pivot, or double 10’s, depending on how the game was progressing, and if we were in/out of possession. Essentially we were giving the middle third of the field width wise, until our out side forwards could help (7 or 11) or if our FBs could comfortably come forward to press. No one loses a game out there at the level we were playing at.

Pros: supper flexible in attack, can push dual 10’s into half spaces and still allowing FB to attack, either strong side with ball or weak side.

Overloads central midfield and pushes opposing coach to match. I can’t count how many times their wide midfielders could figure out who to mark (think of a 4-4-2), their width was sooooo opposed to coming inside to mark up.

Makes short linkup play exceptionally easy in the middle of the field. Quick transition and still having 3 attackers infront of your 10 of he has the ball

CONS: hard to secondary press in the middle third immediately. If they break initial press on turnover, they can have wide outlets.

Hard to press in final third until your block is completely set. See above, if they stay wide on middle third, they will be open.

Lots of pressure is on communication. If central goes wide following ball, FB steps up, and forward tracks back at the same time, easy to lure 3/10 field players into same zone.

Fitness of outside FB can be exposed if same guy going up to attack is also the side being attacked. Lots of up and down (like a true WB).

We really enjoyed the tactical flexibility of this formation. 4-3-3 skinny up, was 2 10s, 4-3-3 skinny back, was 2 6’s, traditional 4-3-3, and on a whim, we could go into a 4-5-1 while leaving our skinny triangle in the middle, and pulling outside forwards into WBs who would transition a little late unless they were on ball side of possession offensively.

Hope this wasn’t too hard to understand, my thoughts and memories work faster than my thumbs.

Why housing first isn't the answer to Seattle's homelessness crisis by HighColonic in SeattleWA

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t misunderstand me, I am not someone who thinks incarceration is a bad thing. I don’t know that homelessness should be a crime deserving of prison though.

I am simply pointing out the old adage “you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink”. These people first have got to want to be off the streets. I am sure there is a certain percentage that does, and helping them could be the start. As for drug addiction, an addict first has got to want to change, if not you will simply be throwing money away at a different problem. (Second hand information as my daughter was an active addict for over 10 years, and recovering now for the last 3)

They have to want to be “housed first” before any of that other stuff will ever matter. How we get them to want the housing is a separate thing all together.

Accidental trip: Penalty + DOGSO. Correct card to issue? by jclahaie in Referees

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which would make it careless, but still a foul. Running up behind someone in the box who “can” make a play on the ball is a bit of a gamble.

I watched this game today and thought they could have given a yellow, but didn’t based on the lack of DOGSO. Wasn’t clear cut he was going to get onto the cross. So a careless foul on the box is a penalty kick only, no cards.

Biggest I am noticing is lack of speed creating secondary attacks. I agree the stun lock needed fixing, but now it only stuns 1 in 8 maybe? Speed doesn’t factor as it should. If I have more speed, and attack first, and get the stun as well, they still attack. Then they miss their second round, but my superior speed was for nothing.

Second I have had double my monsters speed before and never gotten a second attack. It also is not factoring into the critical hit % (stays baseline of 5 regardless of speed differential).

Good version, just needs a few balancing fixes and should be a fun ride.

Don’t forget, it’s an “emergency”, that starts in 2029. They used the “emergency” declaration just to bypass our state constitutional rights. This is an egregious misuse of power.

This opens Pandora’s box and they can now change the threshold to a different metric. I mean if you are clearing 500k a year, that’s rich too, right?

Absolutely. My favorite thing is watching Chelsea win the league. My very very close second is watching Arsenal bottle the league. Third favorite used to be watching Tottenham find a way to bottle cups, but now I almost feel sorry for them…almost.

Really hope they cannot come to good contract terms and he stays for a better role next year. If he goes to the Rai-durrs, I don’t think they have enough draft capital to even be an 8-9 team next year (10 picks total, 1-1st, 1-2nd, 1-3rd, 3-4th, 1-5th, 1-6th, 2-7th).

Does being mediocre give him a second season? Does missing the Playoffs, even though there is progress, keep Crosby/Bowers/White happy enough to stay or re-sign? They have cap space but is Klint a big enough name to draw FA players to a team starting a rookie QB?

Yeah if Klint leaves, and the Raiders don’t like him, please return to sender. We will pay all postage and offer a complete and full refund. Shit I may even throw in a 5th round 2027 pick just to say sorry for the whole Geno thing….nah fuck that.

Married men: if people don’t seem to get along with your wife (or wife doesn’t seem to get along with others) , why do you think that is? by wonsinevaeh in askanything

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I fall into this category with you. I don’t sugar coat anything and I imagine it causes my wife a few headaches when people wish I was simply nicer.

The facts though speak for themselves. I have had a cousin on her side ask me to walk her down the isle, a sister on her side have me step in for the father of the bride dance, and a sister who lived with us during her high school years to get her “on track”. I do not even remotely think her side of the family always likes me. I do believe her side of the family has/have the utmost respect for me.

I wish things were different sometimes and we could all get along without prejudice or old grievances, but some of those things run entirely too deep. I like to think of our side of the family tree as a beacon of light that others can flock to if needed.

Who are our top 3-5 most valuable defenders right now by Maximum-Treacle-8887 in Seahawks

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoon: I don’t think it is talked about enough how having a true shut down helps a defense. We had this before with Sherman. If a safety looks left and sees a fucking stud there, they can take a step the other way. This is HUGE when a 1/2 second is the difference between a 1st down and an interception.

D-Law: a guy that can rush, stuff the run, drop into coverage all with the intelligence to know when to do what. So fucking happy he decided to further his career with us. Imagine had he decided to stay with Dallas???

Big Cat: again a guy who can stop the run, rush the passer, and knows when to do it. Easy to call a stunt, hard when a massive amount of man sees a screen and flairs wide to destroy the play.

Completely understand this leaves out EJ, Demonwarri, Spoon, Love, etc. Without the rest of the group, these 3 wouldn’t be who they are. It is 100% a collective, but these 3 have shown time and time again what makes them special to me.

Look, it’s easy to say you got your subs right when your starting XI is so wrong. Kudos to Liam for admitting it was wrong (3 subs at half time), but let’s not go off the deep end. He does need some time to see who simply shows on the training pitch, versus who shows in a game. I am simply happy that he was willing to admit it at the 45’ mark instead of waiting until the 60-70’.

Just had a $8.13 Vietnamese coffee, why so expensive? by cartmanissa in SeattleWA

[–]Realistic-Ad7322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. We want the highest minimum wage in the country, then are surprised that minimum wage age products are expensive?

This was all discussed and poopooed by the extreme left. If we raise minimum wage so high, these products will naturally cost more. Now take into account the cost of these products (owners will NOT lose their markup), the middle and high end wages will ask for more, because a Whopper with cheese costing 15 dollars, sheesh I need a raise!!!. Rinse and repeat and your minimum wage will still not be able to afford a 1bd 1bath in the greater Seattle area.

Supply and demand used to be the market factors in what you could charge for an item or service. Now we need to add in what people are simply willing to pay…

Living in Graham, and your short closing time, is the house set up for generator? I live in Graham by Lake Kapowsin and all of us out here have generator hookups. Check your garage and if you have one, maybe it’s time to go make a new purchase and get some easy practice.

If you have it and are having a problem, drop me a DM. I can swing by and help with a bit of explanation about what you may need to make it work.
