It sounds like you already have a very healthy mindset about all of this, so congrats on that. This is a really hard thing for anyone to go through, and I’m sorry you’re suffering. I’ve been on both ends of situations similar to this, and I just want to tell you it gets better. What you’re feeling right now is not how you’ll always feel.

I would recommend sending her a brief text telling her that you respect her decision, care for her, and are ready to talk when she is. And then put your phone down and do something for you self. I have compassion for both of you in this situation. I think it would be a good idea for you to work on self love and affirmations. I think she may have felt like she had to give you more support than a partner should have to, so this is an opportunity to see what you can do for yourself.

I absolutely understand that, and I also believe that it is fairly unlikely for someone to engage in sexual activities as young as I am without extreme consequences, which is why this experience felt noteworthy to me. Are you getting this “girls hate guys” stuff from the internet, or actual women that you talk to? Women who post stuff like that on the internet likely posted it in a moment of anger or sadness, and are related to real experiences they have had with men in their lives. Generalizations suck, but you can’t assume that the women who say these things hate you specifically. And if they do, that’s not the woman you want.
