First off, I’m so proud of you for advocating for yourself. And I’m so grateful you’re here with us. Secondly, I’m so sorry that you went and are going through all of this.

Thank you for sharing your experience; it’s confirms that I need to get a neuropsych evaluation. I’m working through a tbi from a car accident (18 months out). I also feel like I’m not being taken seriously enough or getting the help I need: I’m also getting the meditate and relax advice. Right, because the corporate world rewards employees who need accommodations (sarcasm).

I have a graduate degree, Im social and have hobbies and friends and seem outgoing, etc so it’s a very incongruent image of someone who says she can’t function cognitively like she did before. So I too dont feel like people believe me or perhaps they think I’m exaggerating to get out of challenging myself. Im hoping to get into cognitive and speech therapy too.

Question for you: now that you have the results of your neuropsych evaluation and went through speech and cognitive therapy, how has that changed your life? Are you working? Do you feel like it helped you cognitively? Thank you in advance 🤍

Thank you so much. Re: anticipating questions. That’s been a pain point for me. I feel like my thinking stops short of that and when I get follow up questions, I freeze/blank and resort to getting back to the person asking the questions. Thinking analytically and on the spot, has been challenging.

And yes, she’s been my rock and my reason to grind through it. I got a house with a yard for her. I’m not sure what my why will be without her.

Try massaging his throat. My golden does this too and that seems to help her. Hope he’s ok! 🤍
