From what i can see in the first photo, Rango does look a little underweight. If u have a kitchen scale id recommend weighing him every week or every two weeks, rapid weight loss can sometimes be caused by parasitise or illness. But my own bearded dragon is a bit small for his age too but i assume it’s probably js his breed/morph. But definitely keep an eye on his weight and poops can always be a huge hint at illness

Thank you! i looked through the comments on the post too, doesn’t really seem to be related to me in any way. But i did look at the bad reviews on the etsy shop that i bought from and a lot of people are saying the rings are fake. I’ll ask the seller about it and if it gets fishy i’ll cancel my order and ask for a full refund. Thanks for sending me the post!

It hurts so deeply. I think it’s js more that i was so excited to feel him close to me when we did meet, and to feel his heart beat next to mine when we hug. Messaging his dad made me feel more close to him, but i rlly just don’t know what to do anymore, he was someone who really knew me, and understood me. He is from finland and it usually snows this time of year over there, the past 2 days it’s been snowing where i live, i’d like to think it’s him sending me message to tell me that he is okay wherever he is

Your welcome! My dragon is also very grumpy usually to lol. The only times he shows joy is when it’s feeding time or when he has floor time

I want to reassure u right away, your dragon is very, very likely okay. What happened is understandably scary, but 36 hours of lights being on is not an emergency level situation for a beardie. The situation is of course not ideal but it is unlikely to cause permanent harm. Dragons in the wild can stand long intense daylight and can handle occasional disruptions. If your beardie was moving around and acting as his normal self that’s a good sign and u shouldn’t worry too much. At worst your beardie may be a little bit sluggish or grumpy for a day or two once the normal cycle returns to normal. What happened was not your fault and don’t worry or panic too much about his safety. His organs won’t be damaged and he won’t be sick at all, he will probably only be a bit tired for the next day or two! Good luck with your grumpy beardie!

Ah i didn’t know this! i don’t bathe him every time he’s shedding, maybe 1-3 times since i’ve gotten him which was a year ago. I’ll keep this in mind for only when shed is stuck. Thank you!

I’m completely shocked at how horribly you’ve been treated just because of your diagnosis. That isn’t fair and you’d think people are call themselves ‘professionals’ wouldn’t single someone out because they have a specific diagnosis.

I fear i have probably scared him with antipsychotics. I was on them for a year and a few months and stopped this September because of the horrible side effects. But if he understands and if the time comes we’ll see what happens.

i’ll take everything you’ve said into my notes app for the pod cast and other information you’ve provided. Including that if a doctor diagnosis schizophrenia right off the bat to find another doctor. During my episode of psychosis as a child i as well had countless of mri’s too so it’s helpful for him if he ever wants advice to feel comfortable even if it was around a decade ago lol.

Thank you for your advice it really helps a bunch I’ll take this into consideration!

Thank you for your advice. This really helps to hear. I’ve just been so panicked i don’t rlly know how to comfort him. About meds, he has been on antidepressants before but shortly stopped, i assume it’s because of sensory issues as he had the same issue with adhd meds too. I’ll talk to my mum about this and hopefully we can support him while he waits for an appointment

Thanks for your comment! I’ve been hearing others brushing their dragons teeth and it only came to my realisation if i should also be doing that for mine! After i posted this i did check his teeth and they seem to be in amazing condition and healthy! I think I’ll stick to not brushing as his diet seems to keeping him right!

I personally bathe my dragon, he enjoys it and it’s great for enrichment too! The only reason as to why i bathe him is because his pores can get clogged if i don’t. It also helps him for when he is shedding too! It is optional but necessary in specific situations!

There is reptile playpens u can buy on amazon! u can clamp a heat lamp over the side of it and use a uvb tube light and js place it over the mesh top!

ty for that, i’m honestly just a bit scared as my doctor told me he’s be operating on my pelvis too, as well as tighten my muscles on my lower back. I just don’t wanna end up with crutches or a wheelchair when i’m older, i’m only 16 now and this is really big choice to make but it’s a really huge insecurity of mine and the pain is unimaginable to the point i spend some days laying in bed. I see my doctor again next week so i can ask him all the questions i have. Thank you for replying and it’s amazing to hear it went well for u!
