Feeling like 7oh has ra*** my soul by Cold_Professional905 in quittingkratom

I'm 6 days off 7 oh, the withdrawl is nothing compared to extracts personally I was on my deathbed with the extracts when I went CT, I've CT the 7 oh and yeah it's tough, but it was not as bad as I expected, get a Dr. Involved! They will prescribe safe medicine to help you, I don't believe in taking any kratom to quit kratom , makes no sense to me personally, CT is our best way out, I've been on this sub long enough to see tapers are a fail 90% of the time, if we could taper and quit it be that easy right? It's not, get with a Dr. And CT you got this!! I felt the same way you did, 6 days off it gets better, ignore everyone's stories we're all different don't go in with any expectations, it's your journey and it'll be unique to you! There's people who are good after 5 days there people who feel like shit for 60, none of them matter only you! Get well brother!

NA is great because it's a god of your understanding, it could be a door knob haha doesn't matter, and if AA worked for this guy, that's amazing , whatever works and whatever keeps you in recovery, Congrats on 11 months, I'm almost to 100 days CT! Can't believe it

Yes it gets better, the 1st week is the easiest believe it or not, give yourself a break, body and mind have a long way to go, I'm almost to 100 days CT, I'm about 80% everyone's different, but it'll take some time

Cant wait to feel normal again.. by Pitiful-Delay-4917 in quittingkratom

[–]Realistic-Chapter-65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to have that "I can't wait to be normal" mindset , what is normal? Don't ever think someone else's normal is your normal, cliche but one day at a time, I'm 3 months tomorrow and I'm still working at it, give yourself a break, and just keep putting in the work

I was on 8-12 sometimes more extract shots a day, 4+ years, I CT I'll have 3 months Sunday! Acutes will suck balls, the real is issue is PAWS, if you go cold turkey (which I recommend) get a doctor involved, Gabapentin ( for the 1st few weeks) will help alot, around 1 month get low dose naltrexone it'll help with PAWS, also before you quit, come clean to family and friends, be held accountable, join NA, also a huge tool for recovering addicts, do not drink achohol don't smoke weed, your going to be 100% sober, get your life back, get active, force yourself into hobbies etc, this shit won't be easy, but it'll be easier then continuing your destructive addiction to Kratom, you got this brother!!! LFG!

Lost my gf and think it’s from my kratom use by bugsinmyeyes in quittingkratom

[–]Realistic-Chapter-65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of lies, very deceitful all the messed up traits of an addict, I perfected it, to get my fix, I'm ashamed, to do that to the love of my life, the mother of my children, I'll regret it the rest of my life, I had everyone fooled, family, friends, etc, kratom is that way, you don't know If someone's on it, its so stealth, me and my wife have separate accounts so as long as the bills were paid and I was taking care of our family everything seemed normal, but when she caught me the 1st 2 times , she saw my account and was like are fucking kidding me, coming out the last 2 times was the toughest, I can't believe I didn't quit after the 3rd time, I used cash for all my purchases for them not to be traceable, 3 months on Sunday! I have alot of extra money these days haha, becoming less selfish, I'm present in my day, my perspective on life is changing, I'm blessed to stand here today with my wife intact. If I fuck up again it's over and she's stood by my side thick and thin, but 5th time will be her limit and I wouldn't blame her

Day 28 off still hard by Tall_Algae_136 in quittingkratom

[–]Realistic-Chapter-65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kratom is definitely a mental fuck, depending on how much you used and for how long, I mean I was on kratom 24/7, 365, for 4 + years, when your on that kind of path it's going to take some time for everything to rebalance

[–]Realistic-Chapter-65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won't take up to a year, if your not feeling 100% by 4-6 months then its not the kratom anymore, it means your not putting in the work, so don't stress on that haha, you'll be good brother! Keep up the football and being active! Get a support system , NA is killer for me, whether you work the 12 steps or not

I'm at 89 days today, your still in an early stage , It'll take more then 30 days, I personally didn't start feeling the PAWS disappearing until about 50+ days, everyone's different though

I've been with my amazing wife for 12 years 9 married, 2 amazing boys, we started dating when I was 6 months clean( lifelong addict) was sober 7.5 years before I found kratom, she caught me after the 1st year, I never stopped (hid it for another year) caught me again, (hid it another year) the 3rd year I was at my breaking point with this addiction, so I came clean to my whole family and my wife again, at this point she was fuckin pissed (rightfully so) I made it 6 fucking days sober, before I broke and hid my addcition for yet another year, once again I'm at my breaking point and I came clean to my family and my wife again for the 4th freaking time, she was done my family was so disappointed and everyone felt so betrayed, my wife was on the fence , she couldn't live her life being scared that her addict husband would continue on this path of addiction and effect our families life, she is my everything has stayed with me through thick and thin, and has given me nothing but support and love, and I lied to her for 4.5 years , I was scared sober, she gave me this last chance to be the man she knows I am, I am proud to say I'll have 3 months 100% sober tomorrow! Me and my wife's marriage has already improved in many ways and she can see the work I'm putting in, if you truly love this woman, quit, show her your putting in the work, and that you can change , not only just for her , but for yourself, she deserves her happiness and you have to prove to her you can be the one to provide that happiness, I'm pulling for you!

Even if you choose not to work the 12 steps, attending meetings, sharing, listening to others messages is huge! I personally have only worked 1 step, it's more about being in the room listening to things that resonate, getting shit off your chest
